05.01.2022 I've been a bit quiet over the last month or so. As John Lennon said, "Life is what happens to you when you're busy making other plans". The final instalment of bikes I've owned is the Yamaha FJ1200. A mighty machine. Mine was painted by the previous owner in Fire Engine Red.... It stuck out like Dogs you know whats. The FJ was a hybrid of sports and touring bike setup. We had a several good years together. It was mainly used as a commuter to the airport for my FIFO job and for awhile there it was my only form of transport. I met my wife when I had this bike and she finally agreed to let me take her to the train station on it. I had to go very slowly, as bikes aren't her thing. I got a short right into the ribs one day for going "too fast". I swear I didn't get over 50kmph. My wife hasn't been on the Harley yet and never will. The FJ was a great bike for me. I got to expand on my skills again with this red rocket. She was a beauty. See more
