14.01.2022 This site has so many interesting articles - Last May, when the Oakland City Council voted unanimously to decriminalize four species of psychoactive plants and fungi, a new and unexpected word entered the lexicon of American jurisprudence: entheogen. The resolution listed specific entheogenic plants and fungi: the peyote and san pedro cacti, the vine and shrub used to make ayahuasca, psilocybin mushrooms, and the root bark of the iboga shrub. As the movement to decriminalize these plants and fungi expands across the US, resolutions like those that passed in Oakland or Santa Cruz, led by a group called Decriminalize Nature, are introducing this word to an ever-widening audience.

09.01.2022 Since DMT: The Spirit Molecule was released in 2000, Rick has put out a documentary of the same name (see: DMT: The Spirit Molecule), as well as several other books which explore this topic of conversation. Rick’s latest book, DMT and the Soul of Prophecy, explores the relationship between DMT and the prophetic state. The book expands upon the relationship between science and spirit, and elaborates on the theoneurological (as opposed to neurotheology) model of spiritual experience, stating: The bottom-up perspective is represented by neurotheology wherein changes in brain chemistry give the impression of communicating with the divine, whereas my new model, theoneurology, posits that God communicates with us via the agency of the brain.

02.01.2022 The weekend will offer opportunities to grow your confidence in the traditional skills of herbalists. You will gain a deeper understanding of the materia medica and skills including growing and harvesting plant material, the processing of this material into dosage forms and the art of physical diagnosis including face, nail and tongue signs. The aim is to merge tradition and science and encourage students and practitioners to understand disease in terms of patterns of imbalance. We hope to encourage herbalists to be confident in the art of medicine making and to deepen their connection with plants and the medicine they offer.
