23.01.2022 Always good to chat to your bees

22.01.2022 'Like other insects, bees don't confine their sense of taste to their mouths. They also taste using their antennae and the surfaces of their feet.'

20.01.2022 I'd love to have my bees put on hemp one day for the pollen/resin!

19.01.2022 What a glorious day it is today! I was watching one of my little sweeties working hard on one of my red sunflowers that I grew from seed. It's the appreciation for the small things like this that can give us joy

18.01.2022 Bees are far more smarter than what we give them credit for

18.01.2022 It really is a magical world!

15.01.2022 Me and the bees have an announcement! We have moved from Armadale and bought a farm in Chidlow. The bees will have more space and food and be surrounded by beautiful bushland. I'm just working on my new apiary site now before we move them home from dwellingup. Exciting times ahead!

15.01.2022 Extracting a huge load of fresh marri (redgum) honey this weekend. What a joy it is! Love my bees, they have worked so hard for this. Since it's been such a good season this year they will have loads of honey stores for the winter period when food sources generally wind down for non migratory beekeepers

10.01.2022 Exciting times! My very first foray into making honey, lemongrass and beeswax soap. Let's hope it works out!

09.01.2022 It hasn't been a great season so far for WA bees either. lets hope it improves soon

07.01.2022 Check out this bee song, i love the crazy animation

07.01.2022 I have moved most of my hives back home now for the spring blossom. I have moved them only a week ago and oh my god the supers are dripping full of honey. They have produced super fast this season. Looks like this year is going to be a good year for my lil sweeties! I have to do a big extraction to give them room to store more of thier honey so that means fresh raw honey will be available again soon yay!

04.01.2022 Oh my God I don't need more bees! I found these little darlings in my parents dark farm shed today in my old woodware

04.01.2022 Slowly and gently decrystailising my honey today. Living in the hills caught me off guard and honey crystalises fast here due to the new Flora and cold temps. I'm checking the temperature with my heat gun to make sure it doesn't heat up too much and destroy the benefits of raw honey.

03.01.2022 Hooray I have passed my council health inspection today In Mundaring - my new Shire! I take hygiene and quality control very seriously. Now if the bees can do their part and make some honey for my lovely customers were in business!! Please note: It's been a very hard year for alot of beekeepers, with trees not producing much pollen and nectar at all. Heres hoping the bees will make enough.if not I will not be taking honey as they will need it more and I will not let my bees go hungry for a quick buck.

02.01.2022 A mighty huge Marri/Redgum that i found bushwalking behind my property. Amazing! will make good honey i bet when its in flower.

02.01.2022 Today is world bee day! be grateful that we have these hard workers pollinating all our fruit and veg so we can eat tasty treats. If we didnt have bees we would be in serious trouble https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7X1xIIyZw3M

02.01.2022 Chasing that flow! Bees are in the swan valley now trying to get the last of the redgum flowers. Not much flowers in dwellingup this year.
