25.01.2022 Day 4 - Opal fever truly hit the Hooker Clan today as we hit town to look at the many opal shops, mines, underground pubs, bookshops, churches museums and struck it rich in the noodling area. We stayed at Riba's again but had a spoil and stayed in the underground Hotel. What a spin out. The mine tour at Riba's with Jason, our mining guide, was terrific as he shared lots of great info about his mining experience. Coober Pedy we love you. #outbackopalhunters.

20.01.2022 Day 3 - another big day of km. I think we covered about 6000km. On our way to Coober Pedy, we stopped at a place called Woomera . Definitely worth a stop. It has a history of testing bombs for Britain during WW2, satellite launching and testing ad well as housing a really cool RAAF base and museum. We also passed incredible salt pans, Lake Hart being most impressive. A bump in the road for the day is that Dad broke the shocks on his van but the people at Ribas were totally h...elpful The place we are staying is literally in the middle of the mining fields which is so cool.

18.01.2022 Day 6-8: wow. Just wow! Our time in Yulara has come to an end and what a magical time we have had. From seeing the sunset over Uluru, to walking Kata Tjuka but the highlight for us would have to be doing the segways around Uluru. Loving life! Loving this country!

10.01.2022 Day 5 lots of km covered in the car and it felt like a long time. Our camp was in the bush in a magical spot, overlooking Mt Connor. The sunset was extraordinary. Dad and Damon cooked a beautiful camp oven.
