25.01.2022 Happy Valentine's Day

25.01.2022 We took all our donkeys out for more adventures on the weekend. Plonka and Wonka enjoyed a walk around the wetlands taking on some challenges of a bridge and culvert with water. With some time and patience, Donnie and Jindi also took on the same challenges. A fun outing for all and desensitising achieved.

24.01.2022 Practicing social distancing today with a visit to Bairnsdale Hospital (Flannagan Ward) courtyard. We had gone there to meet up with Margot as we recently rehomed her donkey Patches and his mate Rosie the goat. The word got out and we had a few extras attend. Everyone enjoyed the experience of being up close with Plonka and Wonka, it made their day.

24.01.2022 Ari is a wonderful new addition to the Happy Hooves family. He has previously spent time with clients as this photo of his 'war painting' shows.

18.01.2022 Our herd of donkeys and horses hate flies. We only use Wild Horse Australia fly veils for strength and sun protection. They all will stand and line up waiting for each one to have their veils put on and off they go grazing.

18.01.2022 Our newest addition Boots- mammoth cross donkey, is a wonderful family member who clients will absolutely fall in love with. He is such a smooch many rides to come with this fellow

16.01.2022 Horses went nuts running around the donks paddock. They love to have a change. So feeling pretty happy.

16.01.2022 Donkeys in full flight are swapping them around into the horses paddock. They had a ball

15.01.2022 We only use Wild Horse Fly Veils for their strength and protection for our herd. During the January 2020 East Gippsland fires after evacuation, we still needed to worry about the sun, ember attacks (which were regular) and dust for our donkeys. With our Wild Horse veils, we had no worries about the fly veil melting. We knew all our donkeys and horses were still protected in many ways during this horrific time. Thanks Wild Horse Australia. 14.01.2022 Mmmm Wonka is thinking about it! Mo says otherwise.

14.01.2022 Welcome Forrest. Our newest little Irish donkey.

13.01.2022 Well Plonka done it again. Time and time again over the years he has proven to us he senses people with depression or sadness and last Saturday he was spot on. Had visitors who had just put to sleep their treasured dog they owned for 20 years just days prior and Plonka stuck beside them whilst we were talking for some time being stroked and patted. The others showed interest but they walked away, as sometimes they do, there's never any pressure to do anything. When we expla...ined to our friends what he does without any hesitation or encouragement, they were amazed. Looking forward to clients engaging with the littlest member of our family, when Covid is no longer an issue. Goes to show what an animal can do for a human. They left our property so happy to have spent time with Plonka as well as the other horses and donkeys, it certainly cheered them up. See more
