19.01.2022 Ladies AND gents (yes dudes benefit too!) get yer boots on... it’s time to get ripped. In a pelvic floor kinda way. Y’all think you’ll be young ’n snappy forever and never pee a wee bit mid jump on a trampoline with only a half full bladder, hmm ? Ok so that’s not the only reason, surely divine moments of Harry-met-Sally, long into your sunset years are motivation enough??? Or not prolapsing one day would be good too. Either way, nooooo-one ever sticks to these exerc...ises, right? Yet they are super good for you! So how on earth can it be done with any degree of success or enduring intent? You need to attach the exercise to something you do every day. I’ve been doing them EVERY day, EVERY time I mix my horses’ feeds in their tubs for the last two months. Tip, squat, squeeze, mix! Each feed tub. Every day. All I’m gonna say is I already notice the difference (I have 4 horses to feed). Actually the relief knowing I’m getting over and done with something we’re all ‘supposed’ to be doing anyway (good reasons for it, look em up) makes me want to say to my future self ohhhh your sooo welcome AND it’s really damn easy. Doesn’t even feel like an onerous, unachievable commitment. Tip, squat, squeeze, mix! Too Easy. What do you avoid doing cause it’s just too meh? Our favourite story wins their choice of a Happy Horse Australia product. If you do the challenge and feel like oversharing your story, we’ll put a gift pack together for our favourite.
19.01.2022 Congratulations to one of our colleagues and practitioner stockist, Lily Bunton-king from Equine Barehoofcare on completing her Diploma of Equine Podiotherapy
19.01.2022 MicroBug use 101! I left my farrier apron in my vehicle..damp. A few days of wet weather and it had mould all over it A quick spray with Microbug and a wipe with a cloth. As good as new and the oil of cloves will deter it in the future too! Is there anything this stuff can't do!?
16.01.2022 umm, out of hand sanitiser? Like the smell of cloves? MICROBUG!! Don't stress, we have LOADS of it! Grab a 500ml spray bottle for just $25 Link in comments where to purchase
14.01.2022 We absolutely LOVE this product made by our friend and colleague Mickie Magan! We use it on rehab cases, our own horses and have been recommending it to clients for sometime now, as a fabulous alternative to bute. U-Bute is now available on our website, see link in comments
13.01.2022 Getting feedback like this just makes our day February 2020 Thankyou to Nadine and Nathan ! We have had the most amazing journey and success with our little pony Billy. From our phone consult to the supportive emails we have seen an incredible turn around in our pony who is now engaged, lively and enjoying life. Nadine and Nathan’s knowledge, expertise and professionalism have travelled with us every step of the way. Together we changed Billy’s diet and our approach to his ...care. We grew in confidence as we were witnessing a complete turn around in Billy. We can’t thank them enough. J. Barber, Ballarat Vic
13.01.2022 Another exciting announcement... We now stock Feedchar on our website! We have been using this awesome product for many years now, but it has only been available (from us) direct to our serviced clients. We have mainly been using Feedchar as an invaluable tool for scouring and other digestive issues (especially when plant toxins may be a contributing factor) but it has multiple uses... how you choose to benefit from it really depends on the horse, the way you manage the...m (and your land). Fantastic product from the team at Agspand! Links to shop and more detailed info in the comments
13.01.2022 Know Our Stockists It’s not always just about the job description. Sometimes a behind-the-scenes-superhero has an EXTRAordinary light they bring to the world and those around them, because life revealed a different path of understanding. Tash Cowen runs NC Equine Services. She (remarkably) also wears an invisible cape, which we’d like to share in her own words...... I am a single mum of 4 with 2 children with disabilities. My 11 yo son has cerbral palsy and is non verbal. I have spent my journey with him working alongside specialists and therapists and continually having an input in his therapy. Working through the muscle corrective process with him, including gait, posture, balance, using my hands and thinking outside the box to communicate to his muscles, as the therapists just weren’t getting there. Realising you don't need words to communicate this information I felt the same transference from my horse and it was confirmed when I had a professional come and do the same thing and I decided I would transfer my skills to my love and passion for horses. Humans rely on their feet and muscles for overall balance and movement and horses are the same, hence why I do both. Tash is a student in Equine Sports Massage Therapy with Equestricare and also offers barefoot trimming (soon to embark on getting her professional hoofcare qualifications, but has mentors she has been working with). Tash is also a member of ETAA. Located in Gretna - servicing all of southern Tasmania including Derwent Valley, Central Highlands and the Southern Midlands. Will travel statewide if needed. Please make contact with Tash if you would like to make an appointment or speak with her. Email: [email protected] Phone: 0458333326 We are very excited to see how this journey continues. Welcome to the Happy Horse Australia team Tash

09.01.2022 Hi everyone... we've been bit quiet of late due to the seemingly never ending bushfire threat, today being (another of many) very high alert days for us here in the Bega Valley. A lot of what is still going on isn't being shown on the news so many people don't realise we are still living with it, ever present. If not by direct threat on any given day, it is the daily experience of grieving with the loss and sadness (as well as relief) as you bump into a friend or client... on the street and hear their stories. Not to mention the near constant state of being in protection and reaction mode on our own property. It has been an incredibly challenging time on so many levels, an emotional rollercoaster. If we have overlooked a task or message from anyone over the last chaotic month, please gently remind us. Nathan is slowly getting around to all of his clients due to the many obvious disruptions, phone service issues, road closures and respect for peoples losses and need for healing. Decent rain is being forecast later in the week, we wish with everything we've got that it puts an end to these fires and life begins to blossom again for our communities. Thankyou again to everyone who has been so patient and supportive of us through all of this. It has been life changing
09.01.2022 Fat Attack is so much more than just a fat-targeted blend. LOVE getting feedback on the different ways people observe how Fat Attack is helping their horses You can find it here https://www.happyhorse.com.au/product-page/fat-attack or locate other stockists on our website
09.01.2022 Some of you may remember Romeo. He came to us a few of years ago unbroken, chronically laminitic, and his owners just couldn't manage him any more. After rehabilitation we found him an awesome home with Levi who wanted to be a horse trainer. We think he's done an amazing job! (video is 5mins but worth watching to the end)
09.01.2022 Due to the distances Nathan travels there will be some disruption to his trimming rounds. He will be in touch with clients shortly to confirm.
08.01.2022 I have been doing these for many years for our own horses and a few people who found out I do them ... not something I really advertise as I’m pretty busy already but if anyone on Nathan’s runs would like a worm egg count done, just let him know and he will give you instructions for collection. $22 (incl gst) per ***Edit - just to clarify, this was mainly for people who Nathan already visits as it makes it really easy to hand a sample over to him. If not and you really ...want to get a test done, you will need to get it to me if you're local (by prior arrangement. It can be dropped off to my letterbox but lol no surprises... I need to know it's coming - PM me to arrange and I will send you instructions) Nadine
08.01.2022 By staying true to you, every challenge that comes along (and they will) your internal compass helps navigate your way through. Trust it! From the rocky start to 2020 with all the fires , disruption and uncertainty, a better than anticipated view ahead looks really exciting. We're still as passionate as ever. Loving how things evolve, even from chaos

05.01.2022 Our sponsored driving team Lisa Maree Harrington and her wonder horse Aspen were back out there on the weekend inspiring us all at the Munro Cup in Witwood! For those that don't know, about 12 month ago Lisa was diagnosed with cancer. As if that wasn’t a tough enough journey already (with treatment finally finishing only just before Christmas) Lisa’s home and family faced the terror and trauma of those horrendous fires that ripped through their property and Cobargo community... on NYE. The rains eventually came and the forest is slowly shooting green, and it's so awesome to see Aspen and Lisa back out doing what they love, may life sprout endless laughter and joy for them. We’re just so happy for them we could burst . Photo credit - Linda Mace
03.01.2022 Got mud? Got greasy heel? Step 1 ARREST pathogenic outbreak. MicroBug is a natural antibacterial spray for general use. ... Depending on severity of GH, you often only need to spray MicroBug for a few days, just enough to stop the outbreak in it’s tracks and penetrate in behind scabs. Dry out the ‘angry’ stage and move on to the healing stage. MicroBug is handy to have in your tack room for cuts, scrapes, microbial or fungal issues. Step 2 PROTECT, SOOTHE & HEAL the new skin. SkinBalm is made from all natural ingredients in a zinc base. It helps protect from the elements, soothe sore, inflamed tissue & help heal delicate raw skin. No need to remove scabs, SkinBalm encourages them off with ease! Restore integrity and suppleness to skin, encourage hair regrowth and minimise scarring.
