25.01.2022 Due to a hiccup with my Visa, I'm in Brisbane and able to work until Mon 16 Dec (I fly on Tues 17 Dec). Please get in touch if you'd like an appointment before I go. After 16 Dec, I won't be back in Australia until 10 June (with another 2 modules under my belt ;) ).

25.01.2022 A great post on correct training :)

24.01.2022 An excellent post from one of my teachers, Dr Tom Beech :)

23.01.2022 Hi! :) Some of you may have seen on my personal page that I'm now engaged to an American! ... I will continue servicing both countries (Australia and the United States) until Jason and I permanently move back to Australia, which will be after I've completed my equine and canine osteopathic studies. This year, I'll be in Australia from 8 June to 5 Sept, and will be available for appointments during this period. After 5 Sept, its likely I won't be back in Australia for another year or so, due to US immigration laws. Unfortunately, I can't leave the US until I get my green card. Once my US green card comes through, I'm hoping to service Australia every March, July and November (depending on my school commitments). If you're in Australia and would like a booking for your horse for this coming June - Sept visit, please let me know (via FB, messenger or email) so I can add you to my schedule. Happy Horsing! Kate :)

22.01.2022 A post from the brilliant equine and canine osteopath that worked on Chloe for me. Great work, Martine!! Osteopathy is amazing... if you give the body the right tools, it really tries to heal itself! https://www.facebook.com/91954667108/posts/10156889469342109/?sfnsn=mo

20.01.2022 An excellent post written by one of my teachers, explaining body changes and the rehabilitation process. An issue in the body that took years to become what it is, can not be corrected overnight! Food for thought ;)

19.01.2022 G'day everyone!! Well, word gets around quick, so i may as well make it official by posting on Facebook I am leaving Canada on 6 July and heading back to Australia. I have to quarantine for 2 weeks in Sydney, and I'll use that time to organise my Australian schedule. I'm hoping to be back treating horses in Queensland from late July. I have started taking Australian appointments. If you would like one, please get in touch (comment, FB message, email) with how many horses... you'd like seen and whereabouts they are. Price is still AUD$140 per horse, no charge for travel, and horses will take me 1-1.5 hours, depending on what they need from me. I have learnt a whole lot more while I've been in Canada/Germany, and I'm looking forward to using it to help Australian horses :) See you then!! See more

19.01.2022 Hi everyone! :) I have finally finished scheduling those of you who wanted appointments with me. I am now fully booked up to mid-September. If you asked for an appointment and i haven't been in touch, it means I've missed you - sorry! Please let me know ASAP so i can slot you in. ... I will make contact with you again a few days before your appointment to confirm the time and address. If you need to change your appointment, please get in touch ASAP, as there are people scheduled in September who would like me to see their horse sooner, if possible. Thanks all, looking forward to seeing you and your horses soon!! Kate

16.01.2022 A brilliant visual!! :)

16.01.2022 Neat little video highlighting examples of things to look for that can indicate a sacro-iliac issue in your horse. These indicators are easy to spot, no need to be a vet or equine professional, anyone can see them if you know what to look for ;) If your horse does three or more of these things, feel free to get in touch with me to see how i can help :)

12.01.2022 I love it when like-minded therapists can work together to benefit the horse!!

11.01.2022 Hi everyone! As I'm so busy working on your lovely horses, I've enlisted the help of a trusted friend and colleague to help organise my rather challenging schedule. For those who don't know her, I'd like to introduce you to Sarah Summers, aka Boss Lady. Sarah runs her own equine bodywork and massage business (https://www.facebook.com/sarahsequinemassageandmanners/), so she's a pro at scheduling (and rescheduling??) ;) Thanks for all your help Sarah, and welcome to my "team"!! :)

10.01.2022 This post is for humans, but the same applies to our horses, too ;)

10.01.2022 Hi everyone! My time in Qld has come to a close. I'd like to thank all of you for your continued support over the past 6+ months. If you liked how I worked and are wondering who to use in my absence, I suggest Sarah (who has been managing my scheduling for me), as I have shared some of my knowledge with her and shown her a few things. Sarah also has access to all of my notes and records on the horses I have worked on. She can be contacted at her Facebook page, below. ... I'm unsure when I'll be back in Qld next, but I will post here and also send out an email when I know. Until then, Happy Horsing Kate https://www.facebook.com/1757243601217193/

09.01.2022 A neat little visual of why knees need patellas and why fetlocks need sesamoids!!

08.01.2022 A post from a client on my personal page that I wanted to share here... it has been such a long and stressful road for Amy and her mare, Rella. I was so pleased to have been able to get them both back on track. Now Amy can stunt-ride Rella down the aisle at her wedding on Sunday!!! It was a team effort, for sure!

05.01.2022 I get this look from a lot of my clients and as I embark on module 11 with the Vluggen Institute, I'm sure I'll be giving this look a lot to my teachers Equine osteopathy is such a challenging and rewarding profession - thanks for sticking by me through the journey!

05.01.2022 Quite often, what I do with the horse is termed "chiropractic", or I get called a "chiropractor "... but osteopathy is so much more than that! The first few modules of the Vluggen course focused on the musculo-skeletal system, but now we've started looking more closely at the nervous system as well as the effect organs have on body wellness and biomechanics, too. It's fascinating stuff, and I'm looking forward to returning home with two more modules under my belt! :)
