23.01.2022 Plans.... I’ve been hearing the question what’s your plan? a lot lately, and it’s got me thinking. It seems like such a small question but it can be a really BIG question. I mean some days I have loads of plans: plans for today, tomorrow, next year, five year plans, lifetime plans...which one do you want to hear about?? Other days, I’m honestly not sure! Ummm I might get out of my dressing gown, I don’t know?! So is there a right or wrong? ... Now don’t get me wrong, I love a good plan. I’m the queen of to do lists, and planning/organisation has been said to be my superpower. But some days it’s overwhelming. Which plan should I put my energy into? What if I get it wrong? Golly, what if I get it right?? How many times can I change the plan or switch between plans? Should all the plans be big and life changing or are small plans ok to? And then what about those days where the plan is to chill? I mean to be fair if I didn’t make plans I would probably live in my pjs and become a hermit, so plans are good...but then there can be soooo many plans, I have to schedule a pyjama day (on a complete side note...why isn’t there pj or dressing gown emojis...I mean really, who makes these things up?) I guess it all comes down to balance. Keeping busy is great, taking time out is great, making plans is great...in a lovely balanced way If we start putting too much pressure on ourselves (or others), get too attached to the proposed outcome and then no longer have the ability to adapt the plan, or become so overwhelmed we just walk out and abort all plans...then this is not so great So I guess all I’m saying is, yes please have some goals, have a plan, but take the pressure off. Accept some plans work out, some don’t, and some don’t ever get past the daydream what if phase...and all of this is great. Be flexible, allow for growth and hurdles along the way, and most importantly be kind to yourself! 16.01.2022 Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all. I just want to give a special thanks to all who have supported me on this wonderful Dru yoga journey this year, I think you are all amazing! I hope you have had a wonderful few days, full of love, laughter and peace You might like to take this opportunity to give yourself a little break/rest. Sit comfortably and allow yourself to start to relax, letting go of any tension and just letting your body and mind be. Become a...ware of your breath and start to take in some nice peace filled breaths, and soothing, relaxing exhalations. Continue this for as long as you desire, and come back to it as many times as you want to over the next few days. Enjoy! No yoga classes for a couple weeks, but I’ll post little tidbits and suggestions to help keep you all connected and grounded, if you chose to take part.
