04.01.2022 We have recently moved from Esperance WA to Mokine WA and are currently living on a beautiful property my Mum bought earlier this year. The gentleman who owned this place previously was a Pedoligst, basically a scientist who specialises in soils. He planted a lot of trees on this beautiful property in the 20 years he lived here, one variety of trees he planted is the beautiful Australian Sandalwood. Yesterday I picked a bucket full of Sandalwood nuts and thought I'd share these pics with you all. The nuts taste similar to a Macadamia but apparently when roasted they have more of a Hazelnut taste. I'm looking forward to learning more about this beautiful tree and all its uses.
