22.01.2022 DID YOU KNOW The more sugar you consume in food and drink, the more you increase your risk of tooth decay and gum disease? Tooth decay is the most prevalent dental problem in Australia, experienced by more than 90% of adults at some point in their lives.

20.01.2022 We all know sugar is bad for your teeth. But lets find out whats good! Cheese - great news for all of you cheese lovers. Full of protective protein, cheese after a meal can fight the acid left behind, making it a great choice for a healthy dessert or snack. Tea - green, black or white, all tea has tooth benefits. Fluoride naturally occurring in tea strengthens tooth enamel, and pholyphenols fight plaque that causes gum disease. But dont forget to skip sugary sweeten...ers! Oranges - we all know its great Vitamin C! In the mouth, it helps keeping our gums healthy by supporting connective tissues. But remember to keep fruit under 2 serves a day - they are full of natural sugar that can cause cavities just as well. Chocolate - yes, you heard us right! Dark chocolate, as long as its at least 70% cacao, can help harden your tooth enamel by a compound called CBH. Sorry red Lindt balls! Hard Veggies - carrots, zucchinis, cabbage and cucumbers are crunchy to snack on and clean your teeth at the same time! Dont forget to put those in the lunchbox and your teeth will be very happy Whats your favorite snack? If youd like to find out whether its good or bad for teeth, ask us and well make a post about it!
20.01.2022 Happy Friday Everyone!
17.01.2022 Make flossing a routine! Flossing should be an integral part of your dental health routine along with brushing. You should be flossing once a day, either in the morning or night, or even after lunch, for at least two minutes. But its not just adults who need to floss. Kids should start cleaning between their teeth as soon as they have two teeth in contact but until the age of 10, its best if the parent does the flossing as younger kids dont have the manual dexterity needed to floss effectively.
