25.01.2022 Our clinic cat Peach is missing, we last saw her at 12pm yesterday. During the day, she likes to roam outside the clinic but never goes too far and will always come back for food and water. She is desexed and chipped Has yellow eyes, and is wearing a red collar with a bell attached. She is a super friendly cat, and would normally approach people.... If you could look out for her, or hear anything, please let us know. Contact us at 98027788. Thank you!
25.01.2022 So precious. Another emergency caesarean at Happy Tails Animal Hospital today! How weird that we have so many caesareans during winter this year! Usually there are more in spring and summertime !
24.01.2022 It’s our Happy Tails team bonding day! We all had such a great time hiking in the rain and then having barbecue after!
24.01.2022 Yutou had very bad chronic eye infections for a while now. This is due to his lower eyelids being rolled inwards so that his fur is touching his eyeballs. This is called entropian. Today, he came in for a Hotz-Celsus procedure to correct his entropian. This procedure entails removing a crescent shape piece of skin adjacent to the eyelid margins and this restores the normal anatomical alignments the eyelids and prevents trichiasis! This way, he wont have irritated eyes due to entropian anymore! We will keep you all updated with how he is healing up! @ Happy Tails Animal Hospital
24.01.2022 We love when the patient picture for our wall of fame matches exactly our passport sticker!! We love going the extra step to make the full experience at our clinic memorable and enjoyable! Ps, if you don’t know, we have walls full of patient pictures! Feel free to peek in!
23.01.2022 How is everyone? We hope you are all doing well, we are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday for the upcoming week. Peachs entertainment for today is... *drumroll* ... BUBBLE WRAP! It can be a fun activity for cats, but make sure you monitor them while playing and take it away after to prevent your cat from eating it!
22.01.2022 Little Miss Peach has to be sedated for her blood test today! She hasn’t been feeling 100% lately. Even the friendliest of cats might not be great patients for a blood draw!
22.01.2022 Happy Sunday! Gucci had a wonderful time cuddling and getting treats!
21.01.2022 This little hen was egg bound and her egg broke before she could lay it. This is actually a dangerous condition and without intervention, she could develop serious complications! Luckily for her, her mum managed to get her to Happy Tails for Dr Jason to help her remove the egg and some medications to clear out any infections due to the broken egg.
21.01.2022 It is so fun to play with the vets pen!
20.01.2022 Qiqi the alpaca came to us for a check up as his brother had passed away suddenly. After doing a blood test, we found that he had mycoplasma haemolamae, which means that there is a bacteria on his red blood cell and this is making him anaemic. He is having treatment at the moment, and we do hope he gets better soon!
20.01.2022 Three little Labrador puppies visitors Happy Tails yesterday! One has sad eyes! His eye is diamond shaped and he has entropion. Thats why hes been more ready than his siblings. Poor bubba! Hopefully it will get better as he grows big! Otherwise he will be back to visit Dr Jason!
20.01.2022 Hope everyone is doing well and safe! Here are some doggos that visited us this month to brighten up your week! How good are they at posing?!
20.01.2022 This gentle giant, Butkus is a beautiful boerboel (Sth African Bull Mastiff) who has been coming to us this year. After a trip to the AEC, Christos brought him to Happy Tails for a second opinion. Upon examining him, Dr Jason found that there was fluid building up in his abdomen, which is also called ascites. Ascites could be caused by a few reasons such as heart failure, liver disease, kidney problems or severe intestinal disease. It was suspected that Butkus could have a ...tumour near his heart as his heart sounds were abnormal and also a tumour in his belly. He was not expected to be able to live much longer than 4-6 weeks at this point. Since Butkus was not in pain and was still bright in himself, Chris decided to have his abdomen drained of fluid to make him more comfortable and enjoy the rest of his life. After 2 weeks, his abdomen was full of fluid again and Dr Jason drained it for a second time. He has since come every 2 weeks to have 10-12 litres of abdominal fluid drained to keep him breathing well and comfortable. Yesterday, 4th of September 2020, it was his 10th abdominal fluid drain! Butkus has definitely lived much longer than we had all expected and he is still a very strong, bright and loving boy! We all love him and continue to do our best to keep him comfortable and happy! He really is an amazing and gentle dog with a big heart, and if you do see him, say hello! Please do leave a kind word for Butkus and his owner Christos in the comments below! See more

12.01.2022 Is it raining kittens? How adorable are these British short hair kittens! They are very well socialised and growing fast! The critical period of socialisation for kittens range from around 2-16 weeks! Its good to get them used to new experiences at this stage in life so that they will be very adaptable and calmer as they grow! Its kitten season soon and if you have a new kitten, we are happy to chat with you more about their care!

02.01.2022 A good trick to reduce your cats stress for a trip to the vet clinic is to get them used to the cat carrier on a daily basis! Place the carrier you have somewhere accessible to them and make it comfortable with some blankets. This way, they may even sleep in it occasionally like Peach! Try it and let us know how it goes! In our experience, this will make your cat much calmer and easier to get into the carrier when you need to take them somewhere as they are more used to the carrier being a positive experience!
01.01.2022 Nono knows how to ring the bell to demand for his food too! Too bad the bell wasnt ringing today. He still gets his food though! How could you resist that face!
