11.01.2022 Willow needs your help NOW! This is Willow, Willow is apart of our Golden Tails program which means she will stay with us for the rest of her life. This is because she has Diabetes. Last night around 6:30pm Willow was admitted into the emergency animal hospital. She was admitted shaking, wobbly on her feet and she couldn’t even walk! She was extremely sick. This was because she was having a hypoglycaemic episode. The glucose levels in her bloodstream in her body were ext...remely low. Since Willow was been admitted she has been on a glucose and fluid drip all night and she is still there today. She has had to have blood test, urinalysis testing done with still a lot more to go! Willow is thankfully stable at the moment but she has a lot further to go before she is back to her normal self. We need your help to cover the costs from the last 24hrs. 11.01.2022 Diesel is a beautiful black kitten with the best personality like all blacks cats!! He is super sweet - always keen for a pat and instantly purrs when given any kind of attention! He loves to snuggle up near your pillows at night and is always the last one up in the morning looking very cute all tucked in.... He’s the biggest kitten in the house but seems to forget that when playing with the other little kittens - he still has lots of kitten energy, happiest running around playing in his tunnel and chasing little balls around the house. 10.01.2022 EMERGENCY IN PROGRESS! WE NEED YOUR HELP We recieved a desperate plea from a veterinary practice this morning for an injured kitten. Upon examination he has severe damage to his right foreleg. We will be X-raying him as soon as possible to find out if it is a fracture. By his clinical examination it seems that he has likely broken his humerus bone due to the pain in his upper arm and shoulder region. He also has two wounds, one on his back that is covering his entire ...shoulder blade area and another scratch on his hind leg. This little guy is also presenting with a large overbite that is causing his lower canines to dig into the roof of his mouth. As you can imagine the work up and potential surgeries that will be needed are going to be expensive. We need to raise at least $800 by the end of the today so we are able to help this little kitten. 10.01.2022 Mumma Blossom has had her babies! Early this morning while her carer was at work Blossom was ready to give birth. Her carer had multiple nests set up in her personal room for when she would deliver. But Blossom decided that the wardrobe's second shelf was the place to be. After a quick rescue mission the babies were safe in their nest with mumma. Blossom's babies are all thriving. They have been named after the TV show, Brooklyn Nine Nine. We have 3 little girls (the ta...bbies) and 2 boys (ginger and cream). This little family will need all of their vetwork completed which is a mammoth task. 09.01.2022 URGENT HELP NEEDED Cash needs a foster or a foster to adopt home! Whos says money can't buy happiness?! Meet Cash! The only currency you need to live a happy life ... Cash is a cheeky goofball who greets you with a helicopter tail. He is always happy to see you even if it's only been 5 minutes. He loves to play and chase the ball. He has so much love to give to the right family. He would make a great alarm system as he will let you know when someone's at the door. He'll let you know when your Uber Eats delivery arrives so no need to be staring at your phone in anticipation! Like all dogs, Cash would love to do further training, he would be an exceptional dog given the opportunity to learn more. He is very smart and food driven so would be easy to train! Once Cash is in foster care we will arrange for a lesson with one of our trainers to begin his basic training. Cash hasnt been thoroughly socialised with other dogs so he does like to be the dominant dog. He is currently is best suited to being the only pet. 08.01.2022 Wilson is a Cocker Spaniel with a beautiful nature. He loves to play, he loves to sleep, he loves to run, he just loves life! He has come from being an outside dog so he is still learning that he needs to go outside to go to the toilet. With time and effort he will get there, he just needs someone to put in the effort. He has a need to be near you at all times no matter what you are doing. He also has become very comfortable sleeping on the bed and being a total snugglebunny.... Wilson is looking for a very special person or family to be his forever home and before you apply for him because he is cute please please please do some research about the breed. He will need lots of exercise, lots of enrichment (he is super smart), he will need a home where someone is home more often than not. Given his breed and his long coat, you need to be prepared for the ongoing costs of grooming and take this into account before applying to be his forever family. He is fine outside for minimal lengths of time but if you are gone too long he will try to dig himself out. This may reduce over time but if you plan on having him outside for lengths of time, he is not the furbuddy for you. Also given he has spent the first part of his life as an outside dog, only homes that will have him as an inside dog will be considered. 07.01.2022 Dillon the amazing couch cuddler! Dillon is the most loyal, loving dog any one could want. His happy place is curled up next to you on the couch or on the bed, he always has to have at least one paw on his people and pet family. He's 100% convinced he's a lapdog and with his beautiful face we haven't been able to tell him otherwise! Dillon loves every person he's ever met and needs a family where he's not locked outside away from them. He can be left inside alone without... any problems and will just be calmly waiting for you too get home. His huge smile and wagging tail never quit, so happy and full of life and love. Dillon does have storm anxiety so during these times he needs to be inside and preferably with you or a doggy friend to keep him calm. Regular walks are great, especially to somewhere he can get lots of pats from people. His toys are so much fun to rip up but he won't touch any of his humans stuff, a soft blanket is so nice to chew and suckle on though sometimes he can't help himself. She is still coming out of her shell and would need some time in her new home to decompress and adjust to her new life. Prue is very non reactive and is friendly with cats, however, she is FIV+. 05.01.2022 Meet Hazel! She'd love to spend this weekend with her forever family This gentle and adorable soul has clearly had direction from Amy Winehouse in the makeup department. She enjoys nothing more than to curl up at your feet with her head resting on your foot; or to follow you inquisitively as you get around the house. She has a curious nature and loves to stretch her nose into the air and sniff the breeze, or stretch out luxuriously with her belly flat on the grass in her ...favourite yoga pose, the "sphinx". As you can see in the video she absolutely loves playing with other dogs as well! There's something about her presence that's both striking and draws affection from everyone passing, who will want to lean in for a pat. She can be timid and unsure with some men, but warms easily with women and other dogs. In general, she’d love a home where she can spend her days in the company of her human and doggie friends, who she likes to be close to for comfort. A house where she can run and play in the back yard would be ideal. She’s been fostered in a unit and has had a bit of hard time figuring out where to go to the toilet - but she gets on well with other dogs so will likely follow their lead in her new home.
