25.01.2022 Friendly reminder to please abide by our Social Distancing rules upon entering the salon. These rules are clearly placed on our locked door and we ask that all customers take the time to read this before we greet them. We appreciate that the additional requirements can be confusing and frustrating but please understand that these are in place to not only protect ourselves, but our customers too. Please also remember that if you need to pay using cash, we will only accept the ...correct tender. We will not become complacent with this and ask that our customers respect that this will be the norm for us for some time. Obviously, COVID-19 has impacted our bookings and we have a significant wait for appointments. Given our April closure, we are still in catch-up mode, and with a groomer away on Maternity Leave our diary has already filled up. As of today’s date, we are looking at appointments available from early July. Because of this, we are unable to take on any new pooches at this stage. Thank you again for your support, it’s been a difficult time for all and we are very grateful for the community love.

24.01.2022 Happy New Year! We are back rested and refreshed and ready to pamper your pooches! Please take note we have about a 4 to 5 week wait. This will unfortunately be pretty standard from now on so we encourage people to book with plenty of notice. We also have a lot of customer who like regular appointments on set days and times, if this is you we strongly suggest to make 2 to 3 appointments in advance to avoid disappointment. 24.01.2022 Good morning everyone. We have been told to put on our facebook page that we are currently not offering our walk in nail clipping service and when we would be resuming. In one of our first posts about Covid restrictions we stated we would no longer be offering walk ins and/or nail clipping. Nothing at this stage has changed, hence there have been no further posts about nail clipping. We can not give a set date at this point in time when we will be able to resume this servic...e but it will not be before August. Once we know for sure we will pop a post up to let everyone know. However when we do resume nail clipping you will need to ring to confirm a time which will be suitable for us. We can no longer offer walk ins as we are extremely busy with only one groomer working. Therefore it's best to ring and get a time to avoid having to wait or unfortunately having to come back another time. We hope for everyones understanding on this situation. Thank you See more

23.01.2022 Miss Chloe has an announcement to make Happy Tails have no more appointments available for DECEMBER. There are a handful of appointments left for NOVEMBER, so get in quick if you would like your dog looking as cute as me before the New Year . Please note; because Happy Tails only have a limited amount of spots left, they will be looking after their existing, regular customers and keeping these spots for them. Meaning, unfortunately they will not be taking on new custom...ers until the New Year. Happy Tails have their usual waiting list so if you would like to try your luck please ring with your details. 21.01.2022 We’ve decided to create an Easter themed Cover Photo collage for the month of April. So, if you are looking for a distraction from all the craziness that is happening in the world, why not get creative and show us your pooches all ready for Easter. Our friend Bella had a lot of fun with her photo shoot. Remember, chocolate is toxic to dogs! Be extra careful if you are using any as props and be sure to eat it all yourself afterwards to avoid any possibility of your pooch getting their paws on it ;) We will update our Cover Photo on Sunday evening.

19.01.2022 IMPORTANT Update on our salon closure due to Covid-19. We are aiming to reopen the first week in May. We will be in contact with all of our customers who had their appointments cancelled in an effort to reschedule them shortly.... There will only be one groomer, so please be patient with us. Due to the delay with your appointment it may not be possible to do your dogs regular groom, but we will try our best. It may also be worth while considering a shorter clip than usual as we can not guarantee your usual booking as there maybe further delays. We will still have strict social distancing measures in place and as usual will be continuing to practise extreme standards of hygiene. We will advise each person prior to your appointment via sms how we will manage the handover and collection of your dog/s. We expect these rules to be strictly adhered to or we will refuse to groom your dog. So please read the sms and/or read our instructions on our door prior to your appointment. It is only by following these strict guidelines that we have decided to return back to work & it is still very important to us that we follow these to keep our community safe. So if you are feeling at all unwell or have traveled recently or been exposed to anyone with Covid-19 virus please stay at home. Thank you for your ongoing support. 19.01.2022 WE ARE BACK!! We will be returning back to work on Tuesday 5th May. We have tried our very best to contact everyone who we have had to postpone appointments for during the month of April and May to reschedule. There have been a few customers that despite our best efforts we have not been able to reach so we have left several messages. We understand and appreciate that some of you may have been desperate to have your dog groomed and may have gone to other groomers or even... groomed your puppas yourself and may no longer need an appointment. Please remember you still have a deposit on your file which we are happy to hold for you for an appointment later. If you did have an appointment postponed and no longer require that appointment and we have not been able to reach you, please still contact us and let us know so that we can remove you from our urgent list and allocate the appointment to someone else who may desperately need it. For all our customers who have phoned during our closure to try to book appointments, we are grateful of your understanding that the wait until we have caught up on our postponed appointments is a long one. Rest assured, we do have you on a list. When an appropriate opening arises we will contact you as soon as possible. We have strict social distancing procedures in place. We ask that you respect and adhere to these procedures, especially in relation to entry to our salon and hand over/collection of your dog. These procedures are not a personal attack, nor are we trying to be difficult. We are only trying to protect every person on entry to our salon. Refusal, abuse or rudeness will not be tolerated and your dog’s groom will be refused and deposit will be forfeited as a result. It is trying times for everyone and we ask for your patience, understanding and co-operation and please remember, wash your hands, wash your hand and wash your hands again. 14.01.2022 Good morning everyone. Maybe some of our followers may know of two large dogs who possibly live up Turn Creek Road. The first dog was mostly brown with white markings Smithfield x?, didn't see the gender, was wearing a collar but no tags. The other was a Black Lab x Staffy?, no collar. These two dogs came frantically running from Turn Creek Road onto the highway this morning, causing a bit of havoc.... We managed to secure them in the Grove Shop car park. Unfortunately I had to head off to work but the other women that kept them with her mentioned she would call the council or take them to somewhere in Mountain River. If anyone may know these two doggos please help spread the word See more

Unfortunately, we were unable to do their preferred grooms, and we needed to go a little shorter this time around. We always aim to do the groom that you want, but sometimes it isn’t always possible thanks COVID! This can be upsetting for owners and as equally as upsetting for us as groomers we always want you walking away happy. 04.01.2022 One of the things we love about our little business is that we are family owned and operated. However being fully family operated does come with a down side. Personal situations amoungst family members generally affect if not both, definitely one of us here at Happy Tails. We have just gone through some significant changes after Sarah welcomed Mia into the world and we can't thank everyone enough for their continued understanding and support. Unfortunately there may be some ...upcoming days where we may need to do some rearranging of appointments for two reasons: Tamara is welcoming another grandchild into the world, Alannah, who some of you may remember from a few years ago when she was helping us, is expecting her first baby in the next month. So Tamara will be taking a week off in October. Also our behind the scenes handy man AKA Tamara's husband is having some ongoing specialist appointments which Tamara will be attending for moral support. With any changes that need to be made we will contact everyone with notice and endeavour to rearrange the appointment within the same week. If anyone isn't happy with the changes we are more than happy to reimburse your deposit so you can make alternative arrangements. 02.01.2022 Important Notice - Please Read We acknowledge that we have been very quiet on this platform but we will endeavour to be more active with updates and of course cute photos! But for now, some important updates. ... Come late August it will only be Tamara running Happy Tails while Sarah has a few months off for baby number 2. A wait of up to 8 weeks will be the new normal here so we strongly suggest to make future appointments in advance especially if you require set days and times. We will always have a waiting list on the go so be sure to mention if you would like to be put on there, however the waiting list only applies for those who actually make an appointment. Due to our high demand of bookings we have made the decision that we are not in the position to take on new customers at this point in time. However we will be creating a waiting list for new customers. If for some unfortunate reason we have to say good bye to an existing customer we can than take on a new customer from our waiting list. At this stage nail clipping will remain strictly by appointment only. The months of October, November and December have always been extremely busy and we always encourage people to make their end of the year appointments with plenty of notice to avoid disappointment. This year with only one groomer appointments are going to be very limited so we strongly suggest to start thinking about your appointments now. We know that we have had some pretty big changes over the past year and we truly appreciate peoples understanding and ongoing support for our little family owned and operated business.

02.01.2022 MERRY CHRISTMAS Another year done and dusted, we will be back on Tuesday the 12th of January. 2020 has been our hardest year as we are sure it has been for a lot of people. We would like to thank everyone for their continued support during the hards times. Not only during our closure over covid but while Sarah was on maternity leave. Happy Tails has had a lot of changes due to our growing family and we really appreciate everyones understanding and ongoing custom. 02.01.2022 FRIDAY FUNNIES A different kind of Friday Funny today! Ivy came in for a lovely visit and we wanted to share this moment of cousin love between Mia and Ivy!

01.01.2022 This morning we have been left rattled after not just one but two incidents by the one person all before 10am. To the point where we have felt we needed to lock our doors. We copped very abusive language and gestures all because we didn't open our doors at 8:10am before our opening hours which are 8:30am. We are posting about this experience so we can say we will no longer be tolerating abusive, rude or threatening behaviour! We except that there are incidents where we have t...o take on aggressive behaviour from some doggies but it is definitely not acceptable from humans, we do not charge enough for that! Anyone who displays this kind of behaviour will be turned away and no longer welcome in our little salon. Futhermore about our opening hours. Although we don't always receive abusive behaviour, having people try to come in before our opening hours is unfortunately a regual occurrence and we would like to ask that everyone can please understand that this is still our time. We may appear to be in our salon prior to our opening time, but we take that opportunity while we don't have a salon full of dogs to do the task required to run a small business. The administration side of our business, the cleaning, the setting up and customers correspondence does not run itself. We hope for your cooperation on this matter. Cheers See more

01.01.2022 UPDATE As many people are aware we have had a significant backlog after having to close due to COVID-19 and being one groomer down once reopening. As a result we had to make the decision to not take on new customers. Sarah is now back on board and we have been able to open up a few more grooming spots, however we still have a significant wait of about 4 weeks as we are still not working to full capacity. With Christmas approaching fast and our waiting period still being so... long we have again made the decision that unfortunately we will not be able to take on new customers until the New Year. We hope that by then and after the Christmas rush we will be able to welcome and open our doors again to new customers. We apologise to those who have tried to book in with us especially when we hear that we have been highly recommended but we hope that you will be willing to try again with us in the New Year.
