24.01.2022 Footy Day 2020 Today we celebrated Footy Day with the children having lots of fun getting dressed up in their footy gear and getting their faces painted! It was a great day of excitement and fun, practising our passes and kicks as we get ready to cheer on the Cats, Tigers, Panthers and Storm this weekend!

09.01.2022 At Happy Valley near the front we have a beautiful tree, the children enjoy looking at the leaves and branches! Yesterday our Kinder friend Janice, painted a ‘Happy Valley Tree’! I didn’t know how to draw the squiggly lines but I still tried! Thank you Janice for the beautiful painting!

06.01.2022 This week in the Kinder Room, (Leopard) the kinder children had made a rocket ship! All the kids were so happy about how it had turned out! They coloured it with paint and markers then had fun playing in the rocket ship! Happy Space Week everyone! Up, up and away into space!

04.01.2022 On Thursday we had a special visit from (Joel) Alison's dad who works as a police officer in the Victoria Police Search and Rescue Squad. Joel spent some time talking and explain what he does during his job, when he searches and rescues people when they are in trouble or lost. He also brought in some of his specialised rescue equipment to show us. We got to examine closely his special diving helmet, glasses and felt his special suit he wears when diving in the water as well a...s seeing his GPS equipment and a map of the bush. It was fantastic to be able to touch and examine his equipment closely and even go into the tent. The children listened carefully and had a lot of questions for Joel as well as a few stories too. To show our appreciation the children had made a special card for Joel to say thank you for coming and sharing with us. This presentation made a great impact on the children and they spent the rest of the day talking about their special visit. Learning about Community Helpers offers lots of benefits for children: Promotes safety by teaching children how to ask for help, and just as importantly, who to ask. ... When children meet the people who keep our communities safe, clean and orderly, they're also learning about lots of different exciting jobs.

03.01.2022 The Shadow Projector Here are our kindergarten children exploring light and dark, by using an old projector and props to create shadows on the wall and use their imaginations to create stories, for example how the fox burnt his tongue on the sun (because he licked it without sunscreen!) Another child discovered that the light changed when he added a magnifying glass!
