23.01.2022 To our valued customers and friends, we would like to thank you all for helping make Happy Valley Store the business it is today! From the team at Happy Valley we would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! The store will be closed on the 25th December so our team can spend Christmas with friends and family, all other days will be business as usual.

22.01.2022 On Thursday, April the 7th, we welcomed the Variety Brats Bash for lunch. Families enter the 3700+ kilometre Variety Brats Bash to provide grants to special nee...ds and disadvantaged children. We are thrilled to be able to pass on a donation of $8400 to Variety - the Children's Charity Victoria, thanks to the support of the Robinvale community. Thank you to the entrants of the Brats Bash for stopping by! We look forward to welcoming you again in the future :)

19.01.2022 These images were shared by Robyn in the 'Robinvale - do you remeber when you were a kid' Facebook group. Back in the 60's Happy Valley Store was known as Brading’s Store. These images are from March 1966, just after decimal currency was introduced. Average weekly earnings were about $65.00 for males. 1lb butter, a packet of 20 cigarettes and a gallon of petrol were about the same price. 30 35c. Thank you for sharing Robyn :)

19.01.2022 To our valued customers From Sunday 29 March 2020 we will be temporarily closing our kitchen and take away food sales. We will still be here to meet your essential needs - food and fuel supply, and takeaway coffee (for now). Over the coming days it is likely we will adjust our opening hours to minimise the risk of exposure to everyone here, while providing some relief to our staff who have been working especially hard during this uncertain time. The current health crisis is u...nlike anything we’ve experienced before and we are doing our best to protect the community, while still servicing your essential shopping needs. We must all adapt the way we operate, and continue to do so, as we learn more and receive advice from the government. The latest update relates to the enforcement of social distancing rules. Individuals now face $1,600 fines and $10,000 for businesses failing to comply. These rules are put in place to protect the health of the entire community, and we are treating them very seriously. We are exposing ourselves to greater health risk by continuing to operate and will only stay open to do this if we can rely on our customers to also do the right thing. This is typically one of the busiest times of the year during harvest and social distancing is challenging, but you must use the markings on the store floor to help you stay at least 1.5 metres from other customers and staff. The only exception is a child with its parent (though we’d advise keeping your children away from the store unless necessary). It does not matter to us whether you travel here with another adult, while inside the store we expect you to follow the guidelines set out by our government. Remember, this is for the safety of everyone. We hoped our customers would do the right thing, understand only to come here to get ‘essential’ needs but for some reason so many just don’t understand how important this is and keep popping in for unnecessary items. As the days go by, the number of infected people is rising, and it may be inevitable that someone you know or someone close to you will get this and there is a possibility they could die. Of course we will miss you and this will have a negative effect on our business, but this is about being able to get essential needs and keeping you and our staff safe. For how long? For however long it takes for this to settle. This is serious, if we don’t treat it seriously there might be no one here in 12 months! We still want this store to be here in another 50 years and for that to happen we need to listen to the advice of the medical experts. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
