25.01.2022 Christmas Trading Hours If you have an emergency when we are closed, call the clinic for the contact number for the afterhours veterinarian. And as a reminder: - Pay close attention to our senior pets, those that are overweight and those with heart disease, as the hot weather will have a significant impact on their health... - Christmas ham is NOT a treat! Not only can it cause a severe bout of pancreatitis, it could also lead to severe constipation if the bone is consumed; And it is often the culprit for many broken teeth! See more

12.01.2022 COVID-19 update Help us help your pets! Please call ahead before any visit - you will be asked a few questions about your health. Please do not be offended. We have limits on the number of people we can have in the clinic any one time, so some people may have to wait outside. Thank you for your patience!

12.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE Dear Fellow Pet Owners, We are anticipating an outbreak of the Coronavirus in our area. Cats and Dogs also have a variant of the coronavirus but it is not infectious to people, only people can give COVID-19 to people.... For this reason we are asking that if you are feeling unwell or have any chance of being exposed to the coronavirus, you do not visit the Surgery. Please call us with your problem and we will find a way to treat your animal. So far noone has caught it over the phone. If we are exposed and have to self isolate, we will have no choice but to shut the doors. This could be disasterous for pet welfare as we are currently experiencing a large case load of Parvovirus. Fortunately we have a vaccine for this but if we are unable to administer it we are powerless. Many animals are on medication for chronic conditions. It would be advisable to have a months supply on hand if the worst does happen. If is far more effective than toilet paper. Sincerely yours The Harbour City Vet Surgery Team
