12.01.2022 4 days to go..... Submissions for StoryFest 2021 are closing soon. We'd love to hear your ideas! The festival will run from Friday June 18 to Sunday June 20 and... will include creative workshops, a Family Fun Day, and over thirty events celebrating storytelling in all its form. In addition, the Schools Program runs in the week leading up to the main festival from Tuesday June 15 to Friday June 18. StoryFest welcomes submissions from artists, filmmakers, storytellers, writers, musicians, and performers of all kinds. We are also interested in talking to people with proven skills in facilitating events, MC-ing, or similar in the festival environment. So go on, surprise us! Pitch us an event idea, spruik your credentials, open our eyes to the limitless possibilities of storytelling. 01.01.2022 RISING FROM THE ASHES- STORYTELLING & HEALING SPACE is now open at 8/23 Wason Street, Milton NSW. The OFFICIAL OPENING WILL BE AT 10.30 am on 7th November 2020.... This project is SPONSORED by the MILTON CATHOLIC PARISH in partnership with a range of community service agencies. We are inviting anyone in the area who has been touched by bushfires or other traumatic events to join us in our Storytelling and healing Space. Sessions are every Tuesday to Saturday 10 am to 2 pm. Just drop in for a cuppa and a chat, take a short walk in the bush with us, or join in with the creative arts on offer- writing, painting, drawing, woodwork, dance, music, journaling, videography, ceramics, sewing and more. Our community is vibrant, creative and resilient, but we know that over the last few years, some natural and other events have created considerable challenges for many. We are providing free, this community space, so that we can share our stories creating inspiration and hope toward a brighter future.
