20.01.2022 Thanks to YOKKAO for the awesome write up!! I had a good time "Fight of the Night: Sarkis Doueihi draw vs Lee Fook This was a fight with elbows flying all over the place, especially from the mohawk fighter, Lee Fook. Doueihi was left with a big upper lip cut just barely into the second round but he was not about to give up. The two fighters put on what was easily the best fight of the night in the remaining three rounds with neither side giving in. Despite the bleeding lip, Doueihi fought back for the judges score and went the full five rounds. Both fighters’ hand were raised for an undisputable draw." #YOKKAO39 #YOKKAO40

15.01.2022 Important media release. AMALGAMATION OF IFMA AND WMC Muaythai Australia (MTA) would like to congratulate the International Federation Muaythai Associations (IF...MA) for the recent amalgamation with the World Muaythai Council (WMC). IFMA is now the International governing body for Muaythai at every level and has joined forces to govern amateur and professional Muaythai as one united international sport. The Thai writing on the new logo includes the WMC name to ensure the tradition is maintained. In addition, the President of the WMC is now an IFMA Vice President, which will ensure the history of WMC is recognised and duly respected. The WMC was established in 1995 under directive from the Thai government and approved by the Thai parliament which includes: Royal Patronage as the World governing body for Muaythai. The amalgamation means, IFMA is now recognised as the International body for the management of professional Muaythai which includes: approval from the Thai government and retains the Royal patronage. IFMA is now enhanced by the support and participation of over 130 countries who signed up to the merger and future development of Muaythai as an International sport. The WMC will continue to have WMC professional World Titles in honour of the Thai King. IFMA is the only international recognised sporting body approved by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for Muaythai and has the support of over 130 countries as the governing body of Muaythai internationally. IFMA has given the following directive to all National federations / associations: National federations / associations are to manage and govern all Muaythai from amateur to professional levels under one banner. Therefore: as of Jan 1, 2020. MTA will replace WMC titles with - MTA Professional Titles - for State and National champions. MTA will continue State titles for amateurs. MTA will conduct and host State and National championships. MTA rules will be amended to recognise the difference between amateur and professional and are based on the WMC rules for all one-off fights. All MTA policies, rankings and procedures for titles remain the same and will continue to be the most sort after and credible titles in Australian Muaythai. See more

11.01.2022 You can’t teach heart, but you can LEARN heart. ‘Heart’ - or Courage (cor is the latin word for heart), is not the absence of fear, but showing up in spite o...f it. You learn it - by not making excuses and running away when hardships and pain show up at your door. You learn it - by being accountable and standing your ground when faced with a difficult situation. You learn it - by admitting your vulnerability, and eating humble pie. Sure, it is embarrassing to fail. Your ego gets a little crushed, some people may laugh at you. But you don’t die from these things. Every struggle you’ve gone through only strengthens and expands your 'heart-muscles'. Most times, what you fear doing most is what you need to do. Pain can give you clarity. Even if the outcome turns out bad, you can walk away with a deeper understanding and insight about yourself. This is something no book or online course can teach you. You only come out worse if you make excuses and give up. Your conscience will remind you of it every time you look into the mirror. Going through hardship is the best way to learn what your heart is made of. And going through it without making excuses and quitting, is how you build courage and strength of character. Don’t fear failure. Fear never knowing what your heart is capable of.
