25.01.2022 Here is the latest Thunderstorm Forecast for Today. We will update as warnings are passed to us. Issued at 4:35 am Monday, 21 September 2020, Valid until midnig...ht on Monday, 21 September 2020. Thunderstorms are already occurring in the far northern inland this morning, and are forecast to affect a broad area of NSW today (Monday), with the exception of the northeast and southwest corners. Thunderstorm activity is expected to become more frequent and intense in the afternoon and evening, with high likelihood of some thunderstorms becoming severe, while gradually shifting to central and eastern parts. The most likely places to experience severe storms are along a band extending from the Upper Western, through the Central West, down to the Southwest slopes, with adjacent districts also a risk. Once formed, these severe thunderstorms may steer east and affect the Sydney Metro, Illawarra and the Central Coast during the evening and overnight period. Damaging wind gusts are the main concern associated with the severe thunderstorms. Large hailstones and localised heavy rainfall are also possible. Expect severe thunderstorm warnings to be issued this afternoon as the situation develops See more

25.01.2022 With the warmer weather and more traffic on the roads do you know what to do when you hear a siren or see the flashing blue or red lights of an approaching emer...gency vehicle? When you hear a siren or see the flashing blue or red lights of an approaching emergency vehicle: Give way to the emergency vehicle if you are stopped do not move until it is safe to proceed, even if the traffic light is green. If you are moving, you must slow down and stop if necessary to avoid a collision with the emergency vehicle. Move out of the way as soon as you can safely do so Move over as much as you can to the left-hand side of the road or, if possible, move onto the road shoulder or breakdown lane. On multi-lane roads, try to move into the left lane to let the emergency vehicle pass Drivers on both sides of the road should be prepared to move out of the path of emergency vehicles Emergency vehicles with sirens sounding or lights flashing are responding to urgent situations Drivers should always be extra cautious when they see flashing lights or hear sirens. 02.01.2022 On National Police Remembrance Day we remember those whose lives were cut tragically short while serving their community. Shockwaves reverberated through the A...ustralian policing community in April, when Leading Senior Constable Lynette Taylor, Senior Constable Kevin King, Constable Glen Humphris and Constable Josh Prestney, were killed on duty at a vehicle stop on Melbourne’s Eastern Freeway on 22 April. It was the biggest loss of life in a single event for Victoria Police. These officers were children, siblings, partners and friends. That didn’t stop when they put on the uniform, and the sadness of their loss remains. To those families who have lost loved ones, we grieve with you. While we can never take away the weight of your loss, across Australia, the entire policing family, is here to support you. To those who continue to serve, we thank you. #NeverForgotten
