25.01.2022 Steve and Scott are the face of the Andrews Government’s decision to ban the native timber industry. They recently showed @Melina Bath MP and myself around at H...ardwood Forest Products Australia. The business has been growing over the past 25 years, but that’s all changed with the uncertainty in the industry under Daniel Andrews.

21.01.2022 Throughout the recent fires in East Gippsland, many skilled locals have used their considerable expertise and specialised machinery to clear access to towns, co...mmunities & reopen vital transport corridors. Native timber harvesters and contractors have worked together and in cooperation with government agencies, displaying significant patience and commitment. I wholeheartedly thank them for a job incredibly well done. Here, the crews of Warren Fenner, Rob Brunt and Gus Mckinnon come together after completing the work of clearing access to Tamboon. All their specialised equipment was designed and manufactured by Hardwood Forest Products, Kilsyth. It is imperative that the State Government recognise the importance of and release salvageable timber felled to clear roads etc immediately. This resource is too valuable to waste. #thankyou #nativetimber #lovegippsland #localexpertsinthefield

18.01.2022 We are now able to off our customers the ABEX range of rock breakers thanks to Digmax NZ. ABEX Rock Breakers are available for carrier machines from 1.5 ton to 80 ton, and the factory will build larger to order. ABEX design principles are based on quality, durability, and performance. ABEX Tech Co (South Korea) have been manufacturing rock breaker components for global brands for over 30 years, and have been producing their own brand since 2005. Korean hydraulic manufacturing... technology and quality is globally recognized as being of the highest quality and yet available at unprecedented value. This is why many rock breaker brands from around the world (including USA, Canada, Japan, Europe, and UK) source their breaker components from South Korea. There are over 100 ABEX Breakers operating in New Zealand, from smaller units doing concrete work, right up to heavy duty quarry applications The common feedback we have from our clients is the ABEX Breakers have a high impact force, with less impact coming back through the machine, when compared to other brands of breakers they have used. A key contributing factor for this is the ABEX patented buffer system, which is designed to reduce recoil forces to the carrier machine, and at the same time channeling the recoil energy back down the chisel. Long thrust bush holds the chisel in true alignment, resulting in longer wear life for both the chisel and the bushes. ABEX Breakers have other unique features; - Autogreaser on 12 ton and up, significantly increasing chisel, thrust ring, and thrust bush life (main wear items) Thrust bush is replaceable externally - no need to dissemble breaker body, reducing cost and risk of contamination. Patented buffer system, that not only protects the carrier machine from impact fires, but redirects this energy back down the chisel, dramatically increasing impact forces to the work tool. 12 Months parts warranty

05.01.2022 Our world has change dramatically over the past few weeks. Under normal circumstances I’d be at Farm World this weekend, chatting with Gippslanders & asking p...eople to sign my petition which calls on the Premier & State Government to reverse it’s decision to close Victoria’s sustainable native timber industry. In the absence of any face to face meeting for the foreseeable future I am seeking your support for our native timber industry and asking your to sign this important petition. On the other side of COVID 19, Victoria will need timber jobs more than ever. Harvesters, mill workers, transportation, engineering and the building industry are all important and much needed jobs that we must support. You can sign the timber petition here to show the state government you support timber jobs https://vic.nationals.org.au/native-timber-industry-petiti/ #supportnativetimber

04.01.2022 Roads, roads, roads A huge inconvenience for residents and visitors after fires has been the closure of many local and main roads, we get it. Crews have been w...orking tirelessly for weeks now to get these roads open and communities back home. Rain has hampered the efforts causing landslips and debris to fall on the road, meaning that roads we’d previously checked and cleared had to be closed and cleared again. We’re pretty excited that The Princes Highway is now open to all road users to the Sydenham Inlet Road, near the turn off to Bemm River. Bruthen- Buchan Road is now open to all road users to Buchan. BUT Please take care on these roads. Rain will cause debris and potential slips for months to come and may close at short notice if this happens. Conditions can change quickly, so please slow down. Princes Highway to the NSW Border Crews are still working on the Princes Highway and we hope to open it to the border, for local residents and permit holders, by Saturday. We knew this stretch of road would be difficult for our crews. We must remove dangerous trees before allowing access to non-armoured vehicles. This work continues to be a challenge, because of the dynamic conditions, including high winds and increased fire activity, which means roads may close at any time. Once access is available, these roads will still have reduced speed limits and traffic management in place for some time, while our crews continue their work. Remember, the best place to keep on top of road openings, closures and other works is to visit traffic.vicroads.vic.gov.au.
