06.01.2022 TOWN CENTRE RENEWAL WORK COMMENCES TOMORROW Weather permitting, roadwork will be undertaken on Byron Street between Vivian and Lawrence Streets from tomorrow.... The work will continue for 16 weeks. During this time traffic conditions will be varied. Initially, work will commence on the western side of Byron Street, between Vivian and Lawrence Streets. This will continue for 6 weeks and traffic flow will be as follows (see diagram below): Full closure of the north-east bound lane. South-west bound lane open to traffic and parallel parking permitted adjacent to this lane. No access to Brissett Lane from Byron Street. At the end of the initial six 6 week period, traffic conditions will change and Council will provide updated details beforehand. Pedestrian accessibility will be maintained on both sides of Byron Street throughout the entire works program. Members of the public are requested to exercise care and consideration when travelling through the area.
