18.01.2022 Whoohoo The river has risen almost a meter in the last 12 hours. Finally the water has reached us and the livestock in the river paddock cant walk across the rocks to where they thought the food was better. Not enough rain yet as the dams are still not full, but at least it is a start. For those in the know, the little knob in the middle photo is the top of croc rocks head.

18.01.2022 Corey Tubnor with Harewood 170082. 2nd in her class today at the Royal Easter Show at just over 4months old.

08.01.2022 Bathurst Show 2013 - Winners of Champion and Reserve Champion White Dorper Ewes

08.01.2022 Had all my stocked typed last Friday. Thank you Mel Pagett, you did an awesome job. Now I am selling those that dont get to stay - bye girls, but no boys - you are all good. Now to train the little girls and boys that are going to the Royal Bathurst Show this week.

08.01.2022 Lot 106 Harewood 190002 at the DSSA National Sale in Dubbo September 4, 2020 A beautiful feminine ewe, joined to Nomuula 180155 (Nomuula Orpheus who is the son of Apollo) due to lamb in October. Sire was twice Champion White Dorper Ram at the Dubbo Show.

08.01.2022 Doing some feed trial of barley shoots with David Cumming of Destiny Ag. The sheep and goats love it. Going to be measuring fertility, weight of offspring, weight gain of weaned lambs and compare it with those that dont get the barley shoots. It is easy to round up the troops when I drive into the paddock with the barley shoots, they all come running. I feel like the pied piper.

07.01.2022 Selling rams at the National Dorper and White Dorper Sale at Dubbo Showground on Wednesday 6th September, 2017. Come and view the classing today at 1pm.

06.01.2022 We have a swarm.

06.01.2022 Harewood White Dorper Stud has been selected to take part in the Virbac Multimin Performance Ready Challenge Pt 4. We are looking forward to being involved and hopefully, will get some good results. Two of our stud rams, DavemmHill Steve and Normuula Orpheus have also been selected to participate in the MLA Resource Flock Sires Program. Thanks to Francois Morais at Ovatec for collecting collecting the semen. We now have lots of stored stemen from these two outstanding rams for use in the future. A good insurance policy I think. These two rams will also participate in the Multimin Challenge.

05.01.2022 White Dorper Ram 2/4 tooth - 1st Nomuula, 2nd Harewood, 3rd Nomuula

05.01.2022 Some People are so Precious Booked a shearer today to take off the remaining wool from 70 odd stud White Dorpers. When he arrived, he saw the sheep in a small holding yard beside the shed and took off again. Didnt even come down to the house to discuss things. Just left in a hissy fit. When contacted he complained that the sheep wouldnt be empty. Hasnt he heard there is a drought. There was nothing in the small paddock for the sheep to eat. Nothing, only water. All... we do with the wool/hair that is removed is throw it out on the paddock. Its good fertilizer. It is not as if urine would contaminate the wool. Maybe he thought he would get a bit on him. I thought shearers were tougher than that. Well, well shear them ourselves and save a bit of money. Only consolation is that he misses out on a days pay. Has anyone else experienced this? See more

03.01.2022 Lot 105 at the DSSA National Sale in Dubbo Friday September 4 Harewood 190007

02.01.2022 This is Lucky, born yesterday to a Type 4 Amarula Ewe and a Type 5 Burrawang Ram. Unfortunately Mum died shortly after giving birth even though we rushed her to the vet. So now we have poddy lamb in the kitchen. Hopefully he will turn out to be a very nice ram. He has the genetics to be OK.

02.01.2022 Winners at the 2013 Bathurst Show - Champion and Reserve Champion White Dorper Ewe

01.01.2022 Very happy with our results at the DSSA National Show and Sale. Ist in the White Dorper 2 Tooth Ewe and 2nd in the White Dorper Ewe Lamb 10 months and over. Plus 100% clearance in the sale. We are so pleased our sheep are going to good homes and will be well looked after. For a tiny stud like us, with less than 150 sheep to choose from, I think we've done very well because we cull heavily and select quality over quantity. Thank you to our two handlers Emma Jackson and Corey Tubnor and to Ben Emery for helping prepare the sheep and getting us ready. Couldn't do it without you.

01.01.2022 It is lambing time again and the girls are all very fat and pregnant. Hopefully they will repeat their multiple births again this year.
