25.01.2022 Opened the workshop doors on Monday morning and Scott Cremer from Mill Design & Joinery was waiting to share the finished piece we had worked on the week before. A keepsake box that has been painstakingly created from aged sassafras timber with mahogany inlays. This guy is an artisan in every sense of the word and a great bloke to boot...... This is not the first piece that Scott has asked us to put under the laser and as much as it is stressful due to the risk of damaging such expensive and pristinely prepared wood...it is a joy to see the final piece and I think we got the font right on this one Scott... The photos do not do this piece justice...but... No two days are the same and I would not have it any way

19.01.2022 A much appreciated and humbling surprise...

18.01.2022 Loving work and life... Although I do have a sense of deja vu...but this time the Power Car gets a face... A very enjoyable job and a rare privilege...with a heap of research required and now looking forward to it gracing the mainline.

05.01.2022 Locomotive number boards in blue!...now there is a first. In conjunction with SETS (Sydney Electric Train Society), we have completed number boards for their 86 Class Locomotive, 8649. These boards will be trialled for proper illumination and then go into service.... These boards have been supplied by way of a donation by Harlow Graphics Pty Ltd and we are very proud to support the cause. It would appear that many members of the society and the general public have expressed interest in having their own piece of memorabilia and we will be supplying extra number boards via SETS (Sydney Electric Train Society) for sale by them. To ensure much needed future support for SETS, we will be exclusively supplying them with 86 and 85 Class Boards for them to on sell via their website...Thus ensuring that all profits stay with them... In other words...please do not approach us directly for these classes of number boards...and we hope you all understand and appreciate the reasoning for this... We can say that each and every board that leaves here will be of the same materials and manufacturing processes and quality applied to every number board that we manufacture for the rail industry. In this case of the 86 class boards, they are 491mm in length x 201mm in height and are based on 6mm CAST acrylic...laser cut and edged and then coloured and made translucent incorporating an authentic, well researched and produced font for numbering. SETS are also giving interested people the ability to have a board supplied in any number they like!....Yep custom numbered! So...If you would like your own piece of memorabilia and want to support a worthy organisation... go to the SETS website and / or Facebook Page and take a look... EVERY BOARD SOLD WILL ALLOW THIS IMPORTANT GROUP TO PROGRESS IN THEIR QUEST...

02.01.2022 Once right at home at the head end of The Indian Pacific, CLP12 is being readied for reactivation along with 3 sister units in Cootamundra. All units are fast approaching 50 years of service life and will soon the join the ranks of new owners Southern Shorthaul Railroad, on general freight duties. It was nice to play a small part in this venture, with the illuminated number boards being manufactured by Harlow Signs!!!....very humbling to see a part of us travelling around...Life and work never gets boring!
