05.01.2022 Dear community members, this program is about the information and knowledge to create a happy family atmosphere and a happy society in Australia by Victorian Sikh Gurduaras Council - VSGC. You can be a part of this program Happy Family, Happy Society - training session Our vision is, every member in Sikh community to feel safe in their homes and neighbourhood, seek guidance / assistance where required to prevent family violence and most importantly live life free from fami...ly violence. To achieve this vision, the Victorian Sikh Community Prevention of Family Violence Pilot Project Steering Group is inviting you to attend the Happy Family, Happy Society training. About this Training Everyone plays an important role in shaping attitudes and behaviours in their communities, so you are in a unique position to address, prevent and respond to family violence. The aim of the training is to increase your understanding of the behaviours and practices that support violence towards women/men and the role of families in preventing violence. You will come away from this training with a deeper understanding of the key types of family violence, family violence laws, and drivers of family violence. You will also get an in-depth understanding of your roles in supporting others and referral pathways and activities to build safer communities.
