Please find an introduction from Kia below: Hi, my name is Kia Hutchins and I am the new Centre Manager for Harmony Early Learning Journey Balmoral. I am originally from England, where I was born and resided until the age of five. My family and I moved to Paraguay until I was ten, when we m...oved to Spain. Upon finishing High School, I was interested in Psychology and moved to Scotland to begin my degree. A few years later, my path changed course shortly after I became a mother. With the prospects of going back to work I struggled with the thought of who will be looking after my daughter while I was at work. This curiosity lead me from Scotland to Australia, where I obtained my Bachelor of Early Childhood and Primary Education and found my passion for Early Childhood Education and Care. My drive and commitment comes from my daughter, Lily. I strive to be the kind of educator I would want for my own child. As an advocate for childrens rights, I view children as strong, capable and resilient learners. I also believe that Early Childhood professionals have the important role of guiding children through this incredible and exciting journey. The most rewarding part of being in the Early Childhood profession is having the opportunity to positively impact people's lives, through the relationships I get to form with children, their families and education professionals.
