Chin hails from the cosmopolitan Hong Kong, so she is used to living in a multicultural environment. ... "I like traveling, cooking, baking and doing flower arrangement. I usually play video games after work because it is so much fun and it helps me to relax. I also love to explore new and nice places to have a walk during the weekends, like parks, national parks and botanic gardens. 20.01.2022 Proper and adequate sleep is crucial in maintaining our emotions and mental health. Research has shown that "inadequate sleep is a very common event that affects 33-45% of adults". Further research has revealed that sleep deprivation is linked to "irritability, changes in mood, thinking, learning, memory, and focus". She has been part of our team for about six months, but was across the road at our parent company, Access Community Services for three and a half years. "I am half Aussie, half Swedish. I have been living in Australia for almost 12 years now and love to call this place home. I am happiest when I am with nature so places like the beach, mountains and bushland make me feel content. I love to travel, try new... things and engross myself in different cultures. "I enjoy working at Harmony Place because I like being able to make an impact, big or small, in a persons life by referring them to services that will give them the best quality of life possible and assist them to become the best version of themselves. I also love working with the Harmony Place team as there is so much heart in what we do."

Exercise and physical movement release 'happy chemicals' such as serotonin and endorphins, which make us feel better. According to the Department of Health guidelines, it is recommended to do at least 30 minutes of moderate physical activity per day. 04.01.2022 On Saturday, 6 March the Multicultural Youth Queensland - MYQ Council is hosting "Every Mind Matters" - a forum focusing on mental health for culturally and linguistically diverse young people. Youth Leaders from CALD young leaders have organised this forum as an opportunity to start a conversation about services and support which are available for CALD youth, as well a discussion on the issues which prevent CALD youth from accessing support. 04.01.2022 Head to the Multicultural Sports Club this evening for as weekly Men's Circle. Every Wednesday from 7pm at the MSC, Brotherskeeper hosts this Men's Circle to provide men a safe space to have conversations, share thoughts and feelings and start a process of healing. This circle is a great opportunity for men to start caring for their mental health.

01.01.2022 Zemi is our Team Leader of NDIS Support Coordination, and she has been with Harmony Place since December last year. We are so lucky to have her with us! "I am originally from Crimea (part of Russia now). I lived in Dubai then Netherlands and finally settled in Australia (Melbourne) 15 years ago. We moved to Brisbane last year and I absolutely love it here. I love nature, meeting new people and spending time with my loved ones. "I love working at Harmony Place because I have the privilege of working side by side with such amazing people who respect and value each individual and appreciates their uniqueness. I also love working with CALD communities and grateful for the opportunity to get a glimpse of various cultures without having to travel."
