25.01.2022 Wombles stayed in the shed today. He hadn’t been in for a week but I think the heavy rain we had may have been a good reason to park in the warm and dry. He received another treatment today and I am pleased to see it looks like his hair is growing back and his eyes and ears definitely look better. Fingers crossed we have turned the corner.

24.01.2022 UPDATE: A heartfelt thank you to all the shares, comments and calls. We have managed to find a short term solution so the urgency has been removed. I will return any calls I have missed tomorrow. Thanks again! This little darling is looking for a home as a companion. Her name is Phoebe and she is around 19-20. She is great with kids and loves to be pampered. We don’t have all her details but will update as soon as we have height. We do know she is in need of a home quite urgently and would love your help finding her a home. Please contact Catherine on 0417977847 and share if you can.

22.01.2022 Two weeks since our last update and this dude (name still pending) is starting to fill out a bit. The first 2 pics are from 16 July and the others form today, 2 weeks later.

21.01.2022 This is Chester. One of 12 that the wonderful team @Strong Hearts Farm Sanctuary has facilitated the freedom from their neglect. Our friends at Forever Friends Animal Rescue are currently looking after him until we can go and collect him. Thanks to all the organizations and individuals who have been instrumental in helping all of these horses in need. It’s such a tough year for everyone and especially charities whose donations have all but dried up. For so many organization...s to step up is truly heart warming. We look forward to getting Chester into our care!

16.01.2022 He has arrived! Thanks so much to all those people that pitched in to help us pay for the transport and associated costs. Weighing in at approximately 425kgs, the goal will be to add some more kg’s on. He is thought to be around 6-10 and possibly an arab x. We think a name change is in order for his new start and we would love your suggestions!

13.01.2022 Stage 4 restrictions in Melbourne and the only ones with dinner reservations for a table of 4 are these jokers!

13.01.2022 This is our latest project. Wombles is his name (we assume he is a he) and he has been impacted by a severe case of mange. Mange is such an awful condition for wombats. Always itchy and can’t get away from it but that is not how they die. Sadly they go deaf and blind and can no longer look after themselves and either starve or succumb to predators. Luckily for Wombles he has decided to take up residence in our shed where he is warm and dry and accessible for us to treat. He has had 3 treatments and we are really hoping we have got it in time!

04.01.2022 Today we went to collect Chester from our friends at Forever Friends Animal Rescue. Sadly, Chester was not prepared to get on the float without his buddies. We now need to arrange transport. Can you help us? We need to raise at least $150 for transport and then he will require a dental and farrier.
