20.01.2022 On Sunday evening 13th December, come along to our Xmas Cup meeting for the running of Hygain Mitavite Xmas Cup and Brian Sullivan Memorial. 1st race estimate time is 6.15pm, a great night of racing with special Xmas menu available from the café.

20.01.2022 Monday meeting at Canberra Harness was a great night with a big welcome back to spectators. Most importantly, Canberra’s own protégée, Taylah Osmond, achieved her first win, driving 5 year old gelding ‘To Be Feared’ in Race 4. ‘To Be Feared’ was trained by grandfather Ian Osmond and is owned by Taylah's mother, Kylie. To keep the race in the family, and make the crowd stand up cheering, father and champion driver Scott Osmond was the driver of second place horse ‘Jo Jo Zip’, ...trained by local Dave Reichstein. The margin was an exciting half head. Taylah commenced driving in trials in September 2019, gaining her licence for registered meetings in September 2020. Her first drive of ‘To Be Feared’ was on 10th September at Penrith, gaining 6th place, was followed by 3 more meetings, attaining a 5th, 2nd and 3rd place. Monday night proved to be the winner, and the first win of what we all anticipate to be a wonderful career for Taylah. A great ambassador for the sport of harness racing, especially in ACT, and a role model for all teenagers today. Harness Racing ACT is very proud of Taylah, growing up through the ranks of Capital Region Mini Trots, and now driving in the ‘big league’. Well done Taylah! Another local trainer, Michael Hawke, was successful with a 1st place in Race 6, with ‘The Talk’. Driven by daughter, Melissa Hawke.

Brad was also the trainer and driver of 1st place ‘Katamach NZ’ in the Lesley Catherine Redman Memorial in Race 4. Lance Fearne
