24.01.2022 It doesn't look like much yet but it took a few hours and I'm glad to have finished carving the design for my cup handles today, or bin pulls, as they're known. I've gone for a classical style with sunflower motif. They will hopefully add a cottage charm to the traditional kitchen cabinetry I've been working on.

23.01.2022 Very pleased with page 192 in the latest edition of #Kitchen&BathroomsQuarterly! #LocalManufacturing #AustralianMadeFurniture

19.01.2022 Work in progress.

17.01.2022 Some photos of the sand cast leaf hinges I made for my period kitchen project, featured in Kitchens & Bathrooms Quarterly. A traditional method of casting hardware where an impression of simple shapes without undercuts is made in a cope and drag to pour molten metal into. In this case a pewter alloy.

17.01.2022 A lot of fun at Harp Furniture today!

16.01.2022 Finally had a chance to share the latest Harp Industries article in Kitchen & Bathrooms Quarterly! What do you think of my period style fittings made here in Melbourne?

15.01.2022 Very pleased with our latest article in Kitchens & Bathrooms Quarterly!

15.01.2022 My Fluted Sideboard in stained US White Ash with Brass from 2018, alongside matching trestle tables.

12.01.2022 More progress on my late Victorian style Oak cabinetry. Through hunched mortice and tennons by hand for an authentic look on the doors. I will also peg the joints with wooden nails. Still got a bit of cleaning up to do.

10.01.2022 Fluted sideboard project from last year.

04.01.2022 Remember the wax handles? Just finished the last cast of my pewter bin pulls with a few more leaf hinges to finish up for final chasing and patina wash. #BespokeHardware #AustralianMade #LocalManufacturing

04.01.2022 Thank you Miele and Laminex!! Finished just in time for the Harp Industries shoot last week for our dishwasher installation guide. The set features Laminex Green Slate, fluted American Oak side panels and benchtop with shadow line profile in a lime based marble stucco.

03.01.2022 Sometimes the old way is still the best way

02.01.2022 Finally made a bit of time to finish the kitchen cabinets at chateau Harp! It's traditional mortise and tenon joinery in mighty Oak. The beads are done by hand with the scraper along with scrolled knees (brackets) to match the profile on my window joinery.

02.01.2022 When cutting up panels from stock it's worth centering and pairing any reoccuring patterns. Here's one of the two false fronts I'll be incorporating with a book matched crown cut. This panel will be for the integrated dishwasher to look like a door and drawer cabinet.
