25.01.2022 Fitting to CG event pedal harps into the Harps Australia van "Silver Bullet" is about our limit. A cold Sydney morning pick up at a hall, the day brightened up by the time we got home. Here is Warwick recuperating!

25.01.2022 Emilios first roadie gig, setting up one of our event harps at Mary Lattimores Red Rattler show last night. Keeping an eye out to direct traffic. Checking out the drinks bar. And riveted watching the action as Mary tuned and then sound checked his favourite harp, our old Style 23 Gold. Harp onstage in late performance, long after he was home in bed.

24.01.2022 Harps Australia short spot sales for long-term homes. From time to time we will be putting up short-term sales of 1-2 weeks, special prices for ex rental harps, as we renew our rental pools. 23.01.2022 Our first spot sale was a complete success, the beautiful 38 stringAngel harp has sold. "Stay tuned" to our Facebook page for the next one. Currently inventory and maintenance of the Melbourne rental pool is being undertaken during the next week and a half. 20.01.2022 The Remy concert last weekend was highly inspirational. Here Warwick and Louise Johnson have electronic adventures setting up her various new "toys" with her electro acoustic harp. Warwicks past ABC sound engineer coming to the fore. Both Louise and I had our fingers in our ears during the speaker check, just in case! A close examination of the set up then....learning is doing. A fun afternoon had by all! No eardrums or electronic equipment were harmed in the making of this post.

16.01.2022 Chicago CG Ex just in and being tuned up in the Sydney Harp Emporium. This is going out to St. Catherines Girls school in Sydney, after we finish tuning her up and settling her down after her journey. Young Emilio is impressed- so many harps look at, including this little carbon fibre Legend 36 string harp built by Heartland Harps.

15.01.2022 Its been a while between posts as we have been busy midwifing 6 new lever harps (and 1 pedal harp) into the Harps Australia rental pool. Of the six, only one is left to be rented. Here is a forest of harps waiting to go to new renters, in some cases to be shipped interstate. Its very rare that we have this many harps in the waiting room, and they come and go out of the 5 rental pools (both pedal and lever harps, between 50-60 harps in schools and private homes) very quickly so viewing before you rent is often difficult. We can send out pictures, and most of the teachers can describe our different harp varieties for you. First rental periods can apply to purchase of a harp from us-either the Sophia line instrument you rental or a new Lyon & Healy or Salvi lever or pedal harp. 12.01.2022 Hey you, get down here! We want to see your application for the Harps Australia scholarship to this years Harp Holiday for talented young harpists (photo)! Seriously, we are up in the far north Queensland enjoying a brief health holiday and business planning re-set. But we are thrilled at the response this year so far to our scholarship. In less than 24 hours since posting, we have sent out three application/info sheets for this scholarship. Back home and back to the salt mines soon, so looking forwards to lots of info queries and applications to roll in before the December 1 deadline.

11.01.2022 It is with great pleasure again that Harps Australia announces a scholarship for young harpists (ages 12-18) to attend Harp Holiday in January 2020, held each year in the beautiful Blue Mountains of NSW. Now in its seventh year, Harp Holiday is a not-to- be-missed event in the calendar of every up and coming young harpist, as well as those studying the harp for a professional career or just the sheer joy and pleasure of playing it at any age. After 6 days of tuition, practice and ensemble work and fun (!) Harp Holiday culminates in a public performance by the harp orchestra. 08.01.2022 Congratulations to the winner of the Harps Australia Harp Holiday Scholarship, Chloe Corbett. We are especially proud that young Chloe began playing on one of our little Sophia 27 rental harps at age 7 and is now, seven years on is a vary accomplished young harp student. We look forward to meeting Chloe and seeing everyone on the last day or two of Harp Holiday.

06.01.2022 About to get back into the swing of the New Year in our Leichhardt office/showroom/ rental depot after two trips already up and down with Harps between Melbourn...e and Sydney. 06.01.2022 We had such fun last night contributing to the brand new Sydney "International Zone Out Festival" at the Carriageworks near Newtown. Harps Australia provided two event harps for the Netherlands harpist and electronic performance artist Remy Van Kesteren. He used both our showroom Salvi Delta Electric harp and our 1926 (circa) Gold Style 23. Showcasing the old and the new! Rey is a masterful musician, story-teller and and creative electronic artist. The evening was a journey of light and music, hugely enjoyed by the audience. Dont miss it down in Melbourne, if the show isnt alrady sold out (it was in Sydney!). 05.01.2022 No rest for the wicked. Up early to deliver the 2nd Harps Australia event harp they needed to take part in the huge extravaganza this week at Sydney Grammar. This is their concert hall, at the school! Malcolm Turnbulls Alma mater, it turns out. Lucky we have a van for the two harp move back to Leichhardt next week.

As part of our continuing upgrade of the lever harp rental pools to more models of Lyon & Healy and Salvi instruments, we are able to release these two ...models of the Taliesin 34, both in excellent condition. The deep red instrument is stunning and is a lever gut strung tension. The natural finish instrument is pedal gut tension strung. Both come with a set of legs for taller players but on the floor (foot level) suit older children or petite adults. Full Loveland levers, newly re regulated and completely checked over. Both harps also have tuning handles and padded carry bags. Both only a short time in the rental pools with caring renters. They can be viewed/played by appointment in our Sydney showroom or Packed and shipped to anywhere in Australia at the buyers expense. The natural finish pedal gut Taliesin 34 is $3,100 ONO. The deep red finish lever gut Taliesin 34 is $3,250 ONO. The exhausted harp regulater and re stringer (and Grandpa of active two year old playmate today pictured) is NOT for sale at this time.
