There was also significant discolouration due to Tannins. We swapped over some carbon and calcite media. This particular carbon is specialised for organics and the calcite is used to raise the pH out of its acidic and corrosive state. Hard water is water that contains a higher than normal concentration of minerals; primarily calcium and magnesium. Hard water is visible in scale form on taps, shower screens, etc. This softener was installed in #yanchep for Caroline. Upon testing the water hardness, it showed a hardness level of 380ppm which is extremely high but not uncommon for this area. This job required more work than a regular installation, firstly detecting the existing pipework under the driveway.Then removing the liquid limestone in order for the new pipework to connect up to the system and relaying the liquid limestone driveway.
