11.01.2022 The Rotary club of Burnie West would like to express our gratitude for our sponsors help in putting on such an amazing event. It’s only with your sponsorship an...d support during the event that we could make something as unique as a ferret race in a hotel possible! Key amazing achievements of the event were: - 160+ Guests - Over $14,000 money raised after expenses - 16 Sponsors including business that we could advertise - Creating jobs for a musician and hospitality staff - Coverage of the event in the Advocate - 4 very happy ferret owners (traveled from Hobart to be a part) This was our clubs first major event and we’re pleased to say successful. We now have a full bank account, but rest assured we won’t be sitting on it. We are an active club in the community, and we will be supporting local projects and giving people a leg up. We’ve already purchased a light writer, donated to a battling young family, donated to the Burnie homeless, created a garden at Umina Park, In the process of sending a youth to a leadership program and much more! We are only 4 months old as a club and we’re here to get things done. Every dollar we make, is a dollar that we can use to make a difference in our community and make it a nicer place.
