24.01.2022 In Year 7 our students study a 6-month program in Digital Technology covering programming, networks and Robotics. The culmination of the course is the EthiCoo...l project, where students are required to work in groups and apply their new knowledge to a real-world problem that has an ethical dimension which can be addressed with a digital technology product. The groups will examine current technologies and pitch a unique or re-imagined product that addresses the issues identified. They need to consider risks, sustainability, social practices, equity, privacy and security in the design of their new product. Students then pitch their idea to their peers and a panel of industry experts, aka the 'Shark Tank'. The panel provides feedback to the students to extend their thinking and produce a richer and more memorable learning experience. St Peters students are very lucky to have such a panel of experts including Katrina Lawrence Regional Sales Director, Dell Australia and current parent; Kym Mellor Programme Manager, Tquila ANZ and Old Scholar; Amanda Rablin eLearning Coordinator, St Peters and current parent & Old Scholar; and, Glen Richards CEO Greencross & Shark Tank panel member and current parent. Many thanks to our panel and Mr Peter Hurwood for this fabulous opportunity. Congratulations Year 7 students!

24.01.2022 We need your help! Please 'Like' and share the photo on the Curtin Stem Outreach page to support Ryan in Year 5 Ryan is passionate about our community having a healthier world to live in, where global warming is not an issue. He explored a STEM design process to find solutions to improve the global problem of deforestation. So far, Ryan has worked alongside his extension teacher, Ms Hildebrandt, to ensure our school addresses this real-world issue by joining the Trillion Trees project. He also has several other solutions in mind to bring awareness on a larger scale to the problem of deforestation. We are so proud of Ryan's citizenship and interest in improving the world around him.
