25.01.2022 Today marked day 1 of our Annual Stocktake and Plant Maintenance here at Harrison Manufacturing. This saw our two Sales and Operations Coordinators Tessie Coquis and Maria Jarman return to the office for the first time since working from home became the new norm. The girls, whilst seated separately, returned to the office to ensure all data and count sheets are entered into the system as quickly and efficiently as possible so we can continue on Wednesday the... . Thank you to all of the production, maintenance, and warehousing team who are on the floor completing the counting, and to our shared services team working behind the scenes to make sure all required systems are running seamlessly. 24.01.2022 With the challenging times Australia and the world are currently facing as a result of the rapid spread of COVID-19, Harrison Manufacturing are committed to the health and safety of our employees, customers, contractors and business partners. We are closely monitoring the guidance from our healthcare officials and are continuing to update our Business Continuity Plans to implement new ways of working and do our part to reduce the spread of the virus. Some of our new workplace... practices include. * Hand sanitisers provided at Despatch and throughout the premises as well as instructions on good personal (hand) hygiene displayed at all handwashing facility points * Ceasing until further notice all non-essential third-party visits both on premises and offsite * To ensure we continue to stay in touch with our customers and business partners, we are utilising technology such as Microsoft Teams to conduct virtual meetings wherever possible *Enabling working from home for employees whose job roles allow them to, which immediately increases separation and creates adequate social distancing * We recognise that not all job roles are able to work in a remote capacity, so for our Manufacturing, Warehouse and Distribution and Laboratory teams, we are closely monitoring schedules and workload. Where appropriate we are altering shift start and finish times to ensure we provide safe manning levels and implement greater separation where appropriate *Additional cleaning rosters have been added each day to ensure our workspace and factory are kept safe and clean for our staff members who remain on site In addition to making our workplace a clean and safe environment, we have completed a review of all materials currently being imported and required for production, and can assure our key stakeholders that we have secured sufficient contingency stock to see us through the foreseeable future. Oliver graduated from Macquarie University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Human Resources and started with us last November in the Human Resources team. As we are in the middle of a Pandemic, and this being Oliver's first job, we thought we would check-in to see how he is coping with a permanent work at home set up. . ' , ... ? I definitely didnt expect to be working from home for a large portion of my first year of full-time work. It's made me realise how much I value being around people in an office environment and visiting the factory team. It certainly has its challenges, however I am learning to become more autonomous in the way I work. I find it helpful to maintain contact with colleagues throughout the week even for just a quick casual conversation. . - ? I love being active so I would play a lot of touch footy, golf and tennis, go on hikes and surf. With the current climate I cant do everything I normally would, so now I am doing a lot of home workouts but I cant wait to get back into it all!

While we would usually take time out to support this worthwhile fundraising event hosted by Cancer Council Australia in person, we didnt want to let our current physical separation stop us from raising funds and sharing a cuppa and cake together. Many of our customers are now using our Steel Intermediate Bulk Vessels (IBV bins) to transport bulk grease in replacement of grease drums. Our IBVs are 100% recyclable and reusable which means they are not only more environmentally friendly they are far more cost effective with the r...eduction of drum disposal waste and transport costs. The devastating bushfires that have struck communities and the surrounding natural environments across Australia in recent weeks, brings home to all of us the fragility of our environment and the ...vulnerability of the regional and rural communities, that our dedicated volunteers and Rural Fire Services have been working tirelessly to protect.
