23.01.2022 #2020springchallenge testimonial We are at the halfway mark of our 2021 NY Challenge and I’m so impressed with the changes that have happened so far across each and every one of you participating. Yesterday we joined forces again with Maddi Parsons Nutrition for our halfway seminar Club Engadine RSL which was the perfect opportunity for our members to ask questions, share thoughts and ideas, talk about common hurdles faced and to completely refocus as we head into the se...cond half of the challenge. Big changes to see in 4 weeks time
23.01.2022 Dont be afraid to make mistakes, whether that be in your training, a challenge, a meal plan, heck even a career change, a new group of friends, a relationship. Mistakes build character and teach you how to be a pro at something. Treat your mistakes as gold medals and own them, as long as you are LEARNING from them ... Photo by @gretta See more
23.01.2022 Insane to think we are getting close to the back end of 2020 what have I learned this year in terms of running a start up business? - Global pandemics throw big spanners in the works haha. - Being forced to stop work actually creates more available time to strategise new ideas. - Family support is everything.... - Unforeseen events proves to you how resilient and quick thinking you can be under pressure. - Nothing is more valuable than your own health & wellbeing so you’re able to stay on top of things. - Gratitude for the finer things, like bush walks, being able to work out, meditation, self improvement & all the ones closest to you. - Any image/idea you can visualise in your head can 100% be made a reality if you work hard enough for it. - Never be too proud to ask for help/advice when you need it. I’m very grateful for feeling happy, healthy, being lucky to have the ones around me that I do, and learning a lot along the way Excited for what 2021 has in store See more

21.01.2022 We say goodbye to a legend but we open our doors to another A HUGE thanks to @jay_mcguinness_ from @parksidesportsphysio for his time, effort, energy & most importantly his knowledge while running our Wednesday ‘Stretch & Tone’ class. A familiar face to many in class Jay was the perfect fit for HMHF with both an encouraging personality and lots of knowledge in his that was great for our members to ask questions about injuries, rehab, pre & post training stretches. As Ja...y continues to grow his brand and his commitments grow we wish him the absolute best! Jay’s face will still be around on a casual basis here and there A massive welcome to @erin_leanne from @parksidesportsphysio Erin joined Parkside Sports Physiotherapy in 2020 after graduating from the University of Canberra. A shire local, Erin enjoys a wide variety of sports including rock climbing, trail running, going to the gym and skiing. She has a keen interest in ‘Yogalates’ a mindfulness class which incorporates the stretching of Pilates and the postures and breathing techniques of yoga. Erin’s ‘Yogalates’ class will now replace Jays ‘Stretch & Tone’ and will be placed on our Tuesday mornings @ 7am. Be sure to all make Erin welcome we are lucky to have her on board.

20.01.2022 Straight to the point isnt it! Tonight was a testament to this with our amazing members and Im so proud of their effort 3 full classes at top numbers and we were battling the elements tonight with wind, the cold & rain surrounding us But its times like these that results are made. ... Results arent made in 6-8 spring challengers, thats where theyre refined. Results are made from the time that makes up the rest of year, knowing what works and being consistent with it. No shortcuts, no cutting corners just working hard. Either you are getting better each day you wake up OR you are getting worse. Wake up each morning with intention and prove to yourself your moving in the right direction, nothing is more beneficial for ones mental health then finding self-worth & purpose in waking up each morning. Join our waiting list and become apart of a fun, positive supportive group with sessions that push and challenge you. Spots open up in the coming weeks so be sure to DM us
20.01.2022 @sarahmoate is one of our many regulars that has jumped straight back into classes post restrictions full steam ahead As much as we love seeing new faces join becoming apart of the team its great watching our OGs grow across their mind, health & fitness each week while forming a great training space with friends!

18.01.2022 Amended weekly timetable 27 classes pumping out each and every week Restrictions are easing, normality is returning and 20ppl per class has returned! If youre motivated to begin classes RIGHT NOW be sure to DM us and we will have you training right away and feeling apart of the team
18.01.2022 Amended weekly timetable 30 classes pumping out each and every week We have already hit our capacity of 50 active members in correlation to the current NSW Government guidelines of 10max per class. The exciting news is that these guidelines look to ease again in the coming 2-3 weeks allowing class holding of up to 20max per class. ... If youre motivated to begin classes in a few weeks time be sure to DM us and we will place you on our waiting list. See more
15.01.2022 Laughing at the fact we only have one more official week of HMHF group training for 2020 before silly season hits We are back up and running Jan 18th 2021 and our NY Challenge induction week begins 8th February enquire today to be organised for next year. - @rubyblake
15.01.2022 **Google Search** - The most common New Years resolutions are related to losing weight, eating healthier, exercising regularly and saving money. However, research shows that 45% of people fail to keep their resolutions by February, and only 19% keep them for two years. Sound familiar? What is our purpose for this post then? ... Stop waiting for a special calendar date to make a huge shift in your lifestyle suddenly. More often than not what makes us not meet our New Years goals is that we try and drastically change a lot in a short amount of time. If you want a healthier, stronger, more goal oriented you for 2021 start making small changes now to help get the ball rolling! Coming into silly season this could be simple things like; - Walking more rather than driving, or parking your car further away from your destinations. - Across the holiday period, portion control 80% of your meals throughout the day so you can enjoy those social meals & drinks out. - Across your holiday break plan fun active days out with friends/fam to get your N.E.A.T up. We are setting up new members before New Years hits right now with their 2 free week packages so that they’re planned ahead, committed and ready for 2021 now, rather than later! This is a perfect way to make a small step now to be better prepared for January and we’d love to help you

15.01.2022 Looking for motivation in this cold weather?
15.01.2022 Welcoming back for 2021 is physiotherapist Jay McGuinness for the upcoming next few months Upon graduating with his Masters from Sydney University, Jay began working with the Shire’s top orthopaedic surgeons rehabilitating patients with ACL reconstructions, hip and knee replacements, and all other surgeries. He then started working at a largely sports oriented private practice where he developed the clinical skills to allow athletes to return to performing at their best.... More recently, Jay was appointed as one of the physiotherapists for the Cronulla Sharks where he is responsible for the diagnosis and rehab of all injuries sustained by the players. Jay brings a wealth of knowledge to HMHF. He is looking to use his skills and experience he has developed with treating elite and non-elite athletes and transfer that into our clients here at HMHF. He will be running our new stretch and tone class on Wednesday mornings. Our stretch and tone class aims at improving joint flexibility and toning both the larger and smaller muscle groups of the body. It focuses on posture, muscle imbalances, breathing techniques, muscle recruitment, stability and movement patterns. This class will work your body in all planes of movement leaving you feeling strong, energised and empowered. We are extremely lucky to have Jay and looking forward to welcoming him on board. 13.01.2022 Its our 1st BIRTHDAY a week from today being next Wednesday 2nd September which is mind boggling Crazy to think 1 year ago I decided to take a big risk and back myself to start my own venture and put everything I had into it. The goal was to create a community where training, moving, gaining strength & fitness became a positive fun experience and a space where we have an excuse to spend time with friends and work on common goals ... 1 year thankful to all the amazing members/friends who have played a huge part in building it with me, training bloody hard, laughing a lot, dealing with my OCD and even helping me pack up the van (in the correct order of course). Constantly building, growing & creating new ideas to see our fam grow See more
12.01.2022 Thanks for all the 1st birthday messages it really does mean so much, and a massive thank you to past or existing members/friends that have played a huge part in forming what we are today, nothing ever goes unappreciated Side-note, bring on Spring and this warm weather

12.01.2022 Welcoming Katie to the team for 2021 Katie has been with us since day 1 as a HMHF member, making her one of our foundation members clocking over 500+ class attendances in 12mths She now continues her fitness journey moving on from student to teacher after completing her Cert III in fitness.... After falling in love with fitness and the group training setting, she strived to become further educated in technique and goal setting. Upon beginning at HMHF, Katie took part in 5 years of personal training in a traditional gym. When she is not participating in 12 of our classes Katie is a full time Primary School teacher and she is bloody amazing at whatever she puts her mind to, we count ourselves lucky to have her. What sets Katie aside from other trainers is that she began her fitness journey like many, nervous, overwhelmed and struggling to get started. Her focus on personalised goal setting and a differentiated approach to exercise, makes even the least experienced client feel that any anything is achievable. Katie’s biggest belief is to surround yourself with people who make you strive to be better than your best self. Katie will be taking on 2021 by running her own dedicated class style x4 per week which is our ABT Class, focusing on strengthening our abs, butt & thighs. We are still on the hunt for another group fitness instructor to jump on board in 2021! If you have what it takes or know someone who does don’t hesitate to contact us See more

09.01.2022 Do you like boxing as much as we do? Smiles all round in our sessions when it involves getting to punch out our daily stresses and get a killer workout. Boxing is a fantastic form of exercise, its engaging, youre learning new skills in a martial art, burns a crazy amount of calories and its user friendly for anyone who may suffer from leg/joint related issues allowing you to burn calories on the spot without needing to run around. ... It seems like restrictions are on their next step to easing, which means well be back at our beloved school grounds & will also mean larger class numbers again Are you interested?? 08.01.2022 Personal growth is so important and should always be apart of our day! Little wins each day, learning from lessons from the day before and always looking for ways to better ourselves. Be in competition with no one other than yourself, thats when life truely gets exciting. How can you beat yourself from yesterday? ... - Get a better quality sleep - Commit yourself to some reflection time - Catch up with friends you havent seen in ages - Make that training session you missed yesterday - Show more patience & empathy to the ones around you - Make healthier, more nutrient dense options across your diet compared to yesterdays take-away option you made. There is always small tiny ways to boost yourself, be proud of yourself, remind yourself that youre in control of your own life and its entirely up to you to make it the best it possibly can be Photo by @selfloveclubblog See more

08.01.2022 Who else is excited to push around weights again? Even though we are blessed enough to see easing of restrictions, the one thing we are not easing is our attention to hygiene and health guidelines!! Our classes will be capped at 9ppl per class & with the return to weights We will be making a huge focal point on personal hygiene & business standards to keep things clean and in order!!... Bring on training See more
08.01.2022 Mindset Monday is something HMHF will be plugging from here onwards each week holding up 1/3 of our business pillars it’s important we start sharing value in this area. Having balance in our life is important, we all know that but it’s easier said than done. We are all different, lead different lives and have different commitments, and what is easy for some may not be easy for others, it’s never a 1 size fits all approach and to expect yourself to be able to do things ...as easy as someone else or to think others should be able to is short sighted, as we all know life is more complicated than that. In my own life I have found this idea of balance pretty challenging, especially as my work load increases and I’m still learning to handle it. As a trainer half my job is training people but the other half is listening, and I find that this same hurdle balance is what most of my clients share they come unstuck on. Work, family, relationships, training and keeping healthy, setting personal goals, social outings, etc.. Something I’ve found a really powerful tool for myself is self reflection, mindfulness and taking time for myself, at least 1 short block of time each day that’s only for me to reflect on how I’m doing and how I’m feeling. I think balance can still thrive in a chaotic life around us as long as we are feeling in tune with ourselves and understanding our purpose. My purpose for this post is to hopefully remind even 1 person that it’s okay to feel overwhelmed sometimes, we all do at least once in the week and we all share that together. I think the idea of balance is to place an equal amount of energy of ourselves in to all aspects that make up our lives, not just one. If you’ve never been one to journal or even just write a couple dot points down I highly recommend it, sometimes you don’t need answers off other people, you already have the answers yourself you just need a quiet place and a pen and paper to have time to understand your situation better

06.01.2022 Some feedback from one of our star members going to both us here @harrison_mhf & also @maddiparsonsnutrition
06.01.2022 For anyone who doesn’t know me I thought I’d introduce myself properly leading in to the New Year of 2021. I’m 27yrs of age, my name is Daniel Harrison (Chuppa) and I am the founder of HARRISON MIND HEALTH & FITNESS. My journey as a personal trainer began in October 2017 and I have never looked back since. Leaving school I tried my hand at many jobs, particularly in the construction industry and never really found my place. It wasn’t until I started as a personal trainer... that I found a job that gave me my sense of purpose and aligned with my strengths. I get a strong sense of purpose out of helping others, seeing people perform at their best and bringing people together, running my own outdoor group training business I get to fulfil all of those things every week. Feeling apart of a community has always been important to me and I hope to be able to create that for my members as the business continues. Through my own experiences, fitness has always been an outlet for me to understand myself better, feel more confident and teach myself I’m capable of much more than what I first thought. Fitness has also been an outlet to satisfy my competitive nature through all my sporting up till this point in my life. Now as a trainer, I look at passing that on to my clients so that they can look back on their time training in our space and feel they have grown in to a happier, stronger, healthier & more confident version of themselves. It’s exciting to say that I will further my studies in 2021 starting my Diploma in Fitness to grow in knowledge/experience and to offer more value to my members and strengthen the business and programming in classes. In what has just been a little over 1 year running HMHF, it’s an amazing feeling looking back at where we first started to where we are now and I want to genuinely thank everyone who has been apart of it past & present. I would love to hear from you to try it out come the start of 2021! Our classes start back in the New Year on 18th January & our NY Challenge induction week begins 8th February, all it takes is a msg to get started
04.01.2022 Comparing yourself to others? Youre not behind in life, there is no timetable you must follow, its made up. 7 billion people cant do everything in the same order so be patient with yourself and enjoy each day as it comes and every little thing that makes up that day. ... Most of our stress comes from the way we respond, not the way life is so if we adjust our attitude and not try fix things we dont have any control over we will be much happier humans. Ive personally noticed and been inspired by people that are truly their happiest self and they all seem to share similarities. Theyre self aware, constantly checking themselves with their thoughts & emotions and enjoy the moments they are in rather than focusing on whats in front of them. They focus their energy on self improvement rather than comparing themselves to others which always leads to being unhappy as we have no control on how other people live their lives. Its the small habits, how you spend your mornings, how you talk to yourself, what you read, what you watch, WHO you share your energy with (thats the big one I find) who has access to you. We are all exactly where were meant to be, and when we are listening hard enough and looking at the clues that the universe is placing in front of us its reassuring to stay happy, because you know youre only in competition with yourself, and no one else.
