Nothings Normal anymore, it’s far from it. COVID has caused a Massive surge in the Automotive Industry, with many having time & money on their hands & working on their projects. The whole industry is run off their feet, trying to keep up with inquiries, quotes, orders,manufacturing, stock, deliveries & under a lot of stress trying to fill the demand & your orders as quick as we can. Note many of our suppliers & Manufacturers are in lock down or operating with skeleton Staff, you have to allow for this. Many Stocks have run out & we have to wait for more to be made & the Post & Couriers are also run off their feet,due to the Huge demand, even delivering Saturday’s & Public Holidays trying to keep up. We sent an Express Post letter to NSW & it took 3 weeks & one day to arrive. A Customer sent us a radio from Melbourne to repair & Convert, it took 4 weeks to arrive, he thought it was lost & was ready to buy another one. On the other hand some orders are being delivered as normal, there’s no Rime or Rhythm . We’re in a Pandemic & I have no control over what’s happening & I’ve had a gut full of some Customer’s Whinging because their parts haven’t arrived when they need them, because they didn’t order them early enough. The balls in your court Guys, plan your restoration, you know what parts you need & what area your going to tackle next. I get calls Fridays for Customers wanting to rebuild their entire front suspension on the weekend for instance & expect everything to be sitting on the shelf, a bit of notice & it would be. If you don’t want to be held up on your Restoration,you need to order much earlier than normal. There’s thousands & thousands of parts available & we can’t keep it all on the shelf. Even more so if you need parts restored, interiors, Chroming, Moulding Reconditioning, instrument repairs Etc. I have a Great team of Guys that do this work for me, fellow Car Enthusiasts, but they’re One Man Bands & already booked out months in advance before COVID,because they do Great work at a fair price. If you don’t plan your Restoration much earlier than normal, don’t whinge if you cant get your parts when needed. Your failure to plan your Restorations not my Emergency, we do the Best we can, but there’s only so much we can do. We’re not Robots, we have Family, Personal & Heath issues behind the scenes like everyone. Staff have also been in lock down, thanks to the Melbourne Girls. I’m working till Midnight or longer 7 nights a week trying to help everyone, I can’t do anymore than that.Good Night. See more
