18.01.2022 weddings have been looking a little different in the last year what an excellent way to remember what was happening in the world at this time and having fun whilst doing it. here's to all the weddings coming up, may they be safe, fun and full of love!

18.01.2022 We may not see their children, but there are mother's all around us. Today we acknowledge and offer support for all the women who have suffered through pregnancy and infant loss. One family every four hours will leave a hospital with empty arms in Australia, and that's based on still births alone. ... One in every four pregnancies end in miscarriage. With numbers this large, we are likely all to know (or be) someone who has suffered through this tragedy. So today I'm thinking of all of you and wanted to pass on the best pieces of advice an angel mother ever gave me. Don't be afraid to say their name, these parents and families will always have and love their child/ren in their hearts, when speaking about them, use their name and keep their memory alive. It's not something you get 'over', some days may feel easier to be apart of than others and some days it's too hard to even try. This isn't wrong, and no matter if it's 5 months, 5 or 15 years, grief will still occur. So today, whilst I'm thinking of all of you mothers out there, staying strong, I am holding some babies very close to my heart.

16.01.2022 UPDATE ON SANTA'S CAVE 2020 It is with great sadness that I am announcing that Kadina Santa's Cave will NOT be going ahead this year. Santa will not be able to do the photos this year as he needs to stay safe and healthy to deliver all the presents, and wishes the same for all his little visitors. ... Santa's and his elves wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

15.01.2022 I've been thinking long and hard about Santa's Cave this year since our Santa needs to stay at the North Pole to stay healthy for his big trip! I have decided to offer these adorable Santa photos where your children will be edited in! You may be wondering, how will this work?... I will be running a few days in December Families/Children will be photographed The images will be photoshopped Images will be digitally delivered/printed in 48 hours I am also offering contact-free images, where families can send in their photos and will be photoshopped into a frame in Santa's Arms! Not needing contact with anyone and still not missing out. How much will this all cost? It's important to understand, as these are quite a bit more work to create, they will be more expensive than in the past, but I am working to make these affordable for all families in a tough year! In-person Images: $20 per digital image Sent-in Images: $10 per digital image 8 x 10 in Folder Printed: $10 Bookings will be required, dates and booking service will be released in the coming days.

With everything going on in the world lately, it's been ages since i've shared some of the amazing sessions that I had done (right before restrictions and a few now that we've relaxed). I am so excited that I am able to photograph a bunch of weddings in the upcoming months, we all need a bit of love and laughter in our lives at this time! ... <3

08.01.2022 I can't believe I haven't shared anything from this wedding! A month ago tomorrow, time has flown by so fast! Sometimes you just click with a bridal party and I can honestly say, I had a wonderful time with them all, loads of laughter (and a wonderful rendition of Angela Anaconda ) it was a wedding I wont forget any time soon!

07.01.2022 I like to get into every little moment of a birth session, photographing the monitors, door number, clocks and interactions between the newly excited parents. When these moments are over, you'll look back at them in a blur of memories, these images help capture all those precious little details you'd otherwise miss.

05.01.2022 It's time to put the camera strap back over my neck. To open up my computer to something other than lesson planning and bring some smiling pictures back into my days. I'm so excited for all that is coming this year, with a new lowered pricing structure to accomodate to more families, to more weddings than I've ever had in a year. To get me back in the habit of posting my photos and sessions, I will be posting every day for the rest of April! 05.01.2022 For Christmas this year I wanted to go for a mini session that was a little different, a little more simple and more expressing of our Australian Christmas! What better than at the beach? These sessions will be a super cute late afternoon sunset beach sessions, minimal props which make them perfect to display year round! ... I am also on the hunt for a family to model this session for me, there photos will be used in marketing and they will get the included images as a thank you! I have decided that as of the 2nd of June I will be re-opening and will begin to take on sessions, I will still be limiting my in-studio sessions to allow for lots of cleaning and disinfecting between each session. All sessions outdoors will still need to adhere to directives from SA Health and thus wont be able to have more than 10 people. ... I can't wait to see you all again and capture some really special memories (with a big lens from 1.5 metres away! ) If you are ready to book your family session, flick me a message and I will get back to you asap! 03.01.2022 I have been debating for a little over a week whether to do the 'porch sessions' I've been seeing hotly debated in the photography world. I will not being doing these, but I'd like to explain why. I do not run an essential business, photography is a wonderful luxury, not a necessity. I also don't feel that I can provide you with amazing work that is up to my standard from metres away (yes, even with a great zoom lens), it makes posing difficult, locations are harder to manip...ulate and there's a disconnect between us. I strive to make all my sessions safe and fun, I build relationships with the people I photograph, allow them to feel comfortable in front of the camera and tell cheesy jokes. I can't offer that when you're standing on your porch and I'm on the street. and lastly, I struggled for many years to find the value in my work and my time. To realise that what I do is worthy of being paid fairly. I can not in good conscience, devalue myself by offering work I'm not proud of at no cost (or next to nothing). It's not fair on either of us. But if you guys want to still support me there are heaps of ways. 1. I offer editing services, say this lockdown meant you lost your maternity shoot so you took photos yourself, I am happy to edit those to help create something special. 2. I am offering 20% off of all gift cards purchased during this down-time (e.g. pay $240, get $300) 3. I am also continuing to offer payment plans on all sessions, so you can slowly pay off small amounts of your session. 4. I am offering 10% off all prints, canvases and albums from all past galleries I would like to let you know that whilst all photography has been postponed, I am still volunteering my time for end-of-life and infant-loss sessions through Heartfelt, these are almost always done is hospital with very strict regulations (and done very infrequently) but I feel that these are something I won't turn down. Thank you guys for all your love and support and I can't wait to hug you guys all again when I'm back! <3

01.01.2022 I love maternity sessions, and especially when those clients re-book for newborn and family sessions. I'm so glad in a few weeks I'll be able to meet this little one (who's already out and enjoying the world) from a safe distance. If he's half as photogenic as his stunning mother, they'll be amazing!
