12.01.2022 Playing with leftovers, and thinking about all things festive. I know, I know it’s only October. Does anyone else feel like this year has simultaneously felt like it was never going to end, and at the same time flown by? Here we are approaching the last few months of the year, and looking forward to ringing in a new one with the promise of better things to come. I was supposed to have family travelling from UK for the Christmas period, but we have had to delay our plans. For anyone else facing cancelled travel plans, cancelled Christmas parties or reunions why not consider getting together for a wreath making workshop? Dried, or fresh flowers and foliage, we’re here for it.

08.01.2022 This was me at University. I studied Fine Art in Falmouth, Cornwall. At the time I was lucky enough to be able to work in a beautiful open studio with sky lights flooding the room with so much natural light. I put my paint brush down for some reason, perhaps not one in particular, but for many small undefined reasons a number of years ago. Today I started an oil painting, and I intend to finish it. My ‘studio’ setting has changed a lot. I’m now the mother of too little boys, ...so peace and tranquility are rare things to stumble upon. Time to sit alone and immerse myself in the things that I enjoy is rare. There’s lots of ways that we can take time to practice self-care, and it’s certainly been something that I have struggled with. This is me rediscovering a part of myself that brings me happiness. Hopefully I’ll have a finished painting to reveal soon. See more
