23.01.2022 Lights go on, lights go off. Part of the engine swap is a lot of wiring to modify the vehicle loom to suit the 964 engine loom. Today we have all our warning lights and gauge feeds. Next will be to power up the DME and fuel pump.

22.01.2022 Quick tidy up of these C4S calipers. Much better...

22.01.2022 Getting ready to start for the first time in six years.

19.01.2022 Not what you want to find in the bottom of your fuel tank. This early 928 has been sitting for several years. We'll clean it out and get her going again!!

18.01.2022 New project in the shop. Stay tuned....

18.01.2022 Oh no!!!!! I've caught a Corona bug......

18.01.2022 As you will be aware, Stage 4 lockdown in Melbourne has required us to limit our work at Hartech to only that which is essential AND critical. Unfortunately, this has meant that all the rebuild work currently in the workshop has had to come to a standstill. I did not take this decision lightly but after clarification with the VACC, it became clear that we were not allowed to open except for specific permitted work. Hartech has lost some work to workshops that have decided t...o continue with work that is not permitted, but I feel that it is important for the community at large to follow the regulations put in place, so that we can all get back to work as quickly as possible. I am personally itching to get back on the spanners! I am still available for any essential & critical repairs and my phone is on divert so I am contactable at any time. I hope everyone stays safe, follows the rules and we can all get back to work as quickly as possible. See more

18.01.2022 Take a step back in time, with some modern conveniences.... A lovely 356 in the shop today.

17.01.2022 We did the 3.6 conversion on this car nearly ten years ago. Just in for its annual check up.

15.01.2022 Before & After 928 S4 Inlet manifolds are made of magnesium alloy. This oxidizes over time and all the paint falls off, inside and out. If not treated correctly any new paint will just come away again. This set is fresh back from the coaters with a special formula for magnesium.

13.01.2022 Always blows my mind how some people sleep at night. This M96/01 engine has arrived here after being built by another so called "Porsche Expert" Asides from the odd bolts throughout the engine. At least two broken due to excess tension. Other bolts just missing and holes deliberately filled with sealant.

11.01.2022 Couple of youngsters in for a service today.

10.01.2022 Don't see these everyday. 944 S in for some love and attention today.

10.01.2022 Just some of the fun and games we've been up to at Hartech so far this year!!!

10.01.2022 928GT Ready to go back home. Just finished installing new engine management chips and tuning with the Sharktuner. After his first drive the owner pulled over and called me, he said the car has never gone that hard or used less fuel. Don't hear that every day!!!

08.01.2022 Early 911 in for some torsion bar bushings when we found these. Nearly all the mounting points are cracked, some nearly all through.... To be continued.

07.01.2022 Goodnight my pretties.....

07.01.2022 To all our customers we would like to say that we are still open for business during these uncertain times. Hartech is taking all measures to maintain a clean workplace in line with government and VACC recommendations. We appreciate your business and hope you can continue to support us during this difficult situation.

07.01.2022 '87 928 S4 in for some attention today.

06.01.2022 Some before and after of this 1986 928 can cover & inlet manifold refresh. Ready to go back home.

06.01.2022 Cam covers back in place. Inlet manifold to be replaced at a later date.

05.01.2022 It's a snug fit, but it's in. 964 3.6l engine in a 914. Will be a blast when she's finished.

05.01.2022 Getting arty with some of the cars in the shop.

05.01.2022 After a serious clean up and some strengthening plates, another 911 is almost ready to get back on the road again.

04.01.2022 I think these sprockets have had their day. Time for some shiny new hardware.....
