25.01.2022 We all know about the sugar in cakes, cordials, ice cream and biscuits but food manufacturers cleverly hide it in seemingly healthy foods like muesli bars, fl...avoured yoghurts, dried fruit, pasta sauces, tinned soups, salad dressings, tomato and barbecue sauces, some deli meats and even sushi. For Dental Health Week 2020, we're urging you to get sugar savvy!

15.01.2022 How much sugar is too much sugar? Look at the sugar content per 100g serving if it’s more than 15g you should consider looking for an alternative with a lowe...r sugar content. Ideally, look for food and drinks with less than 5g per 100g. Using the 100g column allows you to make comparison between products essentially it lets your compare ‘apples with apples’. #DentalHealthWeek

12.01.2022 Whichever toothbrush you choose, keep these brushing tips in mind: Choose a soft-bristle toothbrush rather than a hard or medium brush. Clean your teeth in th...e morning after breakfast and before you go to bed at night. Replace both manual and electric toothbrushes every three months (for electric toothbrushes, only the brush head will need replacing). Don't underestimate the importance of flossing to remove plaque from between your teeth where your toothbrush cannot reach. Clean your tongue to remove plaque that is full of bacteria and can cause bad breath. See more
