25.01.2022 The reality of night shift on the fire ground. Thank you to the individual who heard over the radio we needed dinner at 4am and bought it up to Clarence! Both the Hartley crew and Clarence crew were new people after something to eat, so much so these fellas needed a nanna nap afterwards

24.01.2022 The winds yesterday along side with the heat didn’t make it easy in Glen Davis. Property protection became a priority very quickly. Hartley’s Deputy Captain and Senior Deputy Captain on the radio remained calm through this flare up as you can hear. Our wishes go out to everyone being effected by the fires across NSW and VIC.

13.01.2022 LOCAL CHAMPION Meet Doreen Peters - shes 81 and been with the Hartley Rural Fire Brigade for 60 years and worked 80 days straight through this bush fire sea...son feeding all the NSW RFS volunteers. She has 4 grandsons and 2 sons who also fought on the firefront. 03.01.2022 Just a reminder for everyone! We know some have forgotten what rain looks, smells and tastes like but please remember one rule: if it is wet, slow down! Hartley responding to MVA on Riverlett. Drive carefully, focus on the road and if there’s flashing lights, do 40km/hr.

01.01.2022 We have been flat out lately! Had a flare up through Hartley Vale on Saturday and our 4 units were there quickly! Hartley Vale Rd and Fields Rd are still closed due to dangerous trees and the effects of the fire. Stay aware and don’t become complacent, have a plan with what you are going to do, where you are going to go or if you stay, what you will do. Check that your pumps work, you’ve got water and be prepared.
