23.01.2022 It is exiting at this time of the year to see the new growth on the regev trees and bushes. An inspiration to keep going. Also very exiting is that the Acacia Longafolia is seeding for the first time in a reasonable quantity. This was planted as an experimental crop as it is usually too dry here for it, but this year has seen success. Bush food coming!

17.01.2022 Our reveg scrub here is looking more and more the part. We are enjoying that there is always something flowering or producing seed pods. We saw 5 different insects on the flowering melaluca which is positive in a world with declining insect numbers. The 20ml of rain was most welcome delaying watering of last years planting by at least 5 weeks. A time and resources bonus. We loved finding this Calatris Pine producing seeds for the first time and enjoyed this photo taken by a visitor of the last moon of 2020 highlighted against a gum in the scub.

11.01.2022 We are very happy to report that we have now had 400ml of rain this year, a record for us. This is really boosting the reveg work here, especially the 700 plants put in this year. It is interesting to see some flowering and with fruit already, a great boost to the bio-diversity here offering food to the birds and insects. Once again thanks to Ben from GWLAP for his plant selection, complimenting the great work done by the Trees for Life Direct Seeding program. Thanks again to the many volunteer planters.

10.01.2022 We are very pleased that we made it till the end of December before we had to water this years reveg plantings. Usually we are on the second watering. Also very positive is the current percentage of plants surviving, well over 95%. This is a indicator that our band of dedicated volunteers did a great job caring for the babies as they went into the ground.
