23.01.2022 The ATO has issued a reminder to employers who report through Single Touch Payroll (‘STP’) which should be all employers unless an exemption or deferral applies that they will need to finalise payroll information for the 2020 income year by making a declaration. The due date for making finalisation declarations is: * 14 July 2020 for employers with 20 or more employees; and * 31 July 2020 for employers with 19 or fewer employees.... Employers that finalise through STP are not required to provide payment summaries to employees and lodge a payment summary annual report to the ATO. Instead, employees will be able to access their payroll information (for preparation of their 2020 tax return) through a registered tax agent or via ATO online services. If you require assistance please contact our office 03 96003220 or email [email protected]

07.01.2022 With everything going on , I think we all need some inspiration from Robert Kiyosaki. It really made me think, with everything that is happening, it will really bring the true "entrepreneur" to the surface and test the true meaning what being an entrepreneur is. Who are the teachers in your life?... I will leave you with this quote by Robert Kiyosaki A question opens the mind A statement closes the mind #entrepreneur #entrepreneurmindset #entrepreneurs https://youtu.be/CyiZUl0re3k

Remember to ensure you are eligible for Job Keeper scheme prior to enroling. Please reach out if you require assistance. 01.01.2022 We are finding some of the clients who may be eligible for Jobkeeper, it is best due to the cash flow issues, that they either do not enrol or that they terminate casual staff. The main issue is that the first 2 fortnight payments of a minimum of $1500 (gross) must be paid for each employee on Jobkeeper by the 30th April and then after each payrun thereafter. Which means effectively you must cashflow it for 1 month of wages. As it is a one in all in a system you cannot pick ...which employees you wish to go on JobKeeper. Steps required to enrol and comply with JobKeeper: 1. Assess your business eligibility for the scheme 2. If your business is eligible then you need to assess which employees are eligible. 3. Ensure you pay the nominated employee a minimum of $1500 (gross pay) each fortnight with the first fortnight ending 12th of April 4. Notify your eligible employees that you are intending to claim the JobKeeper payment on their behalf and check that they aren't claiming JobKeeper payment through another employer 5. Send the JobKeeper employee nomination notice to your nominated employees to complete and return bu the end of April 6. Enrol in JobKeeper (available from 20 April onwards via the business portal or we do this on your behalf) 7. In the online form, provide your bank details and indicate if you are claiming an entitlement based on business participation, for example, if you are a sole trader 8. Specify the estimated number of employees who will be eligible for the first JobKeeper fortnight (30 March - 12 April) and the second JobKeeper (13 April - 26 April) If you would like to find out more on eligibility and the reporting requirements please register for the webinar on Sunday 26th April at 5:00 pm https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/jobkeeper-how-to-navigate-t
