23.01.2022 It's never too late to start - and there is always time to start again FULL DISCLOSURE: I have been struggling for the past 2-3 months to find motivation to train... finding excuses, being sick, too hungry, too tired, headaches etc... this week I have had to force myself to get moving again... so far with much success. Monday: Lifting... Tuesday: TRX and AMRAP circuit Wednesday: swim Thursday: Full Body Resistance circuit Friday: Full Body Hi-intensity circuit Moral of the story - we all struggle to keep going, sometimes we all need a reminder or a push, even though my body is hurting I am so happy I started again - my mind is clearer and I already feel healthier... It's never too late to start - and there is always time to start again

20.01.2022 I have been feeling under the weather for the better part of a week now. What this means for me is that I spiral backwards... I lose my appetite, which means that when I eat I make bad choices, these bad choices lead to lack of energy, which reduces the motivation and ability to train effectively, which interrupts my sleep and in turn affects my mental health... Yesterday I made the choice to do at least just a little something something,,, three worksets - nothing too crazy ...: WS1: front squats x6/ DB chest press x12 (3sets); WS2: deadlift x6/ pull/ chin up x12 (3sets) WS3: OH squats x6/ snatch push press x6 (3sets) My heart was pounding like I had just done sprints, but I pulled up feeling soooo much better after (and a little tender this morning )

02.01.2022 TELL ME YOUR WHY - LET ME SHOW YOU HOW The weekend past I got to tick off one of the biggest physical challenges proposed - to help train and assist Alana to participate in the 24hr True Grit Enduro. After a road trip to Lower Portland NSW, setting up camp while negotiating the rain and trying to decide wether or not to wear a wetsuit - we started the event at 2pm. It didn't take us long to discover how much rain had been had after we seeing much of the course underwater - wo...rst parts of the course we were wading in waist deep water... there are certain aspects you cannot train for. At the end of the day I wish I could share the whole experience with you - the translation from day to night and the competitive nature changes into a caring nature as most competitors helped each other out and always keen for a chat. The imagery I wish I could have captured - clouds, fog, rain, the moon breaking through the clouds - I doubt even the best camera could capture it. Well done Alana, it has been a pleasure sharing your journey, watching some of this footage I am reminded how you were not able to complete these obstacles when we first started and it is incredible to see how far you have come - with sheer grit and determination (maybe even a side order of stubbornness) This has been a journey I shall not forget
