25.01.2022 Stunning flowers to mark the beginning of Spring, & an unprecedented & extended break for us. Like most businesses this year, we've been thinking & running on our feet, & we've also been very fortunate to have been able to land well, thanks to our amazing supportive community here in Tassie. Growers with stunning produce to share; so much flexibility & appreciation from patient customers as we transitioned from market, to no market, to a makeshift, then a more streamlined se...rvice to get that awesome produce to the kitchens of Hobart & beyond; & mates & fellow businesses lending their support & great hands - what a bunch of super Legends making it all worthwhile & work as best as possible. We're so very thankful to you all for helping make this work for everyone, & though we've had a lot of fun too, it's time to take a breather & tend to family as well. We'll be back later this year, most probably the other side of Spring, we'll be in touch before then. Wishing you the very best from us at Harvest Feast, thanks & cheers, Michelle & Paul. #harvestfeasttasmania #salamancamarket #staywelleatwell #hobart #tasmania #LisaKingstonFlowers

25.01.2022 Oh yay, things are settling well when Provenance Growers return to their usual Summer site from this weekend 24 October & weekly again from 31October. And helping with your traditional southern Tassie tomato seedling needs from Show Day, woo!

24.01.2022 We normally share our market day's excess with these fine folk, to go to towards their Saturday free meals for anyone... here's an update on what's happening tomorrow.

22.01.2022 Celebrating Winter with some of the most interesting certified organic goodness around .... Seven Springs Farm delicious veggies include zingy mustard bunches; Hamburg Parsley, an old variety, also known as Turnip-rooted parsley, with a dual purpose of parsnip-like roots & edible leaves; velvety Black Spanish radish & tasty Brussels Sprouts; baby leeks or maxi celeriac? (yes please to both!); two Fat Goose Fruits mandies varieties, tangy-sweet Imperials & larger, more tangelo-like Amigos. Really appreciating the seasonal deliciousness right now! #Winterveg #Wintercitrus #SeasonalVitaminC

22.01.2022 Couldn't resist reposting this perky pic showing off Paul's pre-holiday vibes, such a contrast to my sensible rainy day threads. We know we're very lucky to have had such a jolly day yesterday, thanks to everyone for sharing all the love. We'll keep you posted about our return in a few weeks. Great pic, thanks Kris. #Repost @kris_erskine These absolute legends brought off a pop up organic fresh food market in the middle of the city today. 19.01.2022 Tassie Growers! Are you interested in providing input to a research program about regulatory challenges for small scale producers? A UTAS Honors student is scop...ing for a research project looking at how government can improve policy for small growers. They are looking to get in touch with farmers who might have views or experiences with this for a quick exploratory chat (not a formal interview at this stage). If you'd be interested, get in touch with them at [email protected]

Link here for your reference. https://tfga.com.au//advancing-organic-agribusiness-grants... You don't have to be certified to apply, you can be a primary producer moving into organics. Give the team a call at TFGA if you want to discuss your situation and project idea. The TFGA has been designated as the administrative body for this support package and will report directly to AgriGrowth Tasmania who has oversight of this project.

07.01.2022 Hobart residents, we've been on the City of Hobart No Spray register for many years. Register now & also let your local Councillor know you'd prefer a safer, less toxic weed management regime across the city .... & you can also help save the bugs, birds & bees! #Repost Save the Bees Australia ... NO SPRAY REGISTER URBAN WEED CONTROL PROGRAM The City of Hobart urban weed control program operates annually during the peak growing period from September through to May. 07.01.2022 SATURDAY 8 AUGUST 2020 *Please note, while we're keen supporters, we will not be at the market* While it'll be a while before Salamanca Market proper is able to return, behind the scenes, the City of Hobart market crew has been working hard to plan for a market which would satisfy community expectations & safety requirements, as well as meet the needs of stallholders understandably keen to return to trade. While we won't, initially at least, be there, we're super keen to supp...ort "Tasmania's Own Market" (the name needed to be different, due to licence agreement & other operational requirements), which is due to start THIS Saturday 8 August. You can find more details at the official website. https://www.salamancamarket.com.au/Ta/Stallholders-8-August And how lucky are we here in Tassie to be able to participate in relatively normal life, such as enjoying markets & being able to get out to support local businesses. Nothing we ever take for granted. Stay & keep safe, & thanks again for your ongoing support for us & other family & small Tassie businesses.

06.01.2022 A great initiative to support local producers - & to allow the community ongoing access to healthy, nutritious produce in a safe environment.
