So you or anyone you know planning for a baby? Then have a read of this Some handy nice information on how one can budget for the "bundle of joy" Reach out if you need a hand with your Cash flow (as in money in to money out)

20.01.2022 Bit of fun for a Monday - so riddle me this; who am I? My strategies can minimise tax, but I am not an Accountant, I understand some law, but I am not a Lawyer, I consider your feelings and behaviours, but I am not a Counsellor, I can build and restore things, but I am not a Builder, I can draw up a plan but I am not an Architect...... I educate you but I am not a Teacher, I can diagnose but I am not a Doctor, I can protect your best interests but I am not a Policeman/woman. I can take you to a destination but I am not a Airline Pilot, I can interview and share news but I am not a Reporter, I can safely sail you through rough waters but I am not a Captain or even a Lighthouse... I can put out fires and rescue but I am not a Fireman, I can understand volatility but I am not a Seismograph, I can plan for stormy weather but I am not a Meteorologist, I fix a leak but I am not a Plumber, I turn on lights but I am not an Electrician, I can make something that fits you well, but I am not a Tailor, I can fill a prescription but I am not a Chemist, I can fill gaps but I am not a Dentist. I can dig for clues but I am not a Detective nor a Miner. I can print a lot, but I am not a Printer. You can find me at University but I am not a Lecturer, I listen to confessions and can preach but I am not a Priest. I can help you fund retirement but I am not Centrelink. I sell certainty, but I am not just a salesperson... I hunt and have my pride, but I am not a Lion or Lioness... Most of all I can give you what you want (if you're good..), but I am not Santa Claus. . Or am I? How many professions am I?

15.01.2022 Bit of a CRAZY world out there.......our take on what is happening...... In the recent days there has been a significant increase in the news about the Coronavirus and its subsequent negative impact on our lives and for a majority of our clients the impact on their investments, held either in Superannuation, Account-based Pensions or personally through managed fund or direct equities. Some key points from client conversations already held are summarised as follows:... The virus and the subsequent uncertainty around it have caused a major drop in all of the world’s share (equity) markets, and further falls are likely. With confirmed Virus cases continuing to rise this market drop is likely to continue but to what point this is not known. The negative impact can be attributed to fear and uncertainty, issues with supply chains for many manufacturers, direct impact with closing of borders and recently mandatory self isolation which has gone that bit further in some countries. One question that needs to be answered regarding this event is it a short term, medium term or long term issue. Most commentary suggest it being short term with a likely duration of 6-9 months. So, if it is short term issue and you have a long term strategy in place to be invested then it is best that you stay invested for the long term and ride the market down with everyone else and then ride it up when it turns and recovers. The two unknowns at present is when it will bottom out and start turning and how long it will take to recover. The likely scenario is the bottom will be when the virus numbers have peaked and have then begun reducing coupled with production increases in places like China and Asia where manufacturing has reduced and in turn affected a large part on the world supply chain. In summary we are going through a relatively new event of which the impact is uncertain but we do need to remain calm and avoid making short term reactionary decisions which could impact your long term future in the process. Another point to mention is that your portfolio likely has diversification, so not all the eggs are in the Shares basket which has the volatility at this time. If you need to talk further about what is happening then please give us a call, (03) 5021 2212, we are more than happy to talk to you at any point during these turbulent times. Cheers Harvest Wealth Team.
