20.01.2022 Possibly the smallest hay run we have done to date but happy evacuee ponies nonetheless and all to happy to help and a very happy Trish Wooly to have some much needed feed. EASE WA Dusty Murray-Whelan Dayle Parker

10.01.2022 Ok so update for tonight, firstly I apologise if I forget anyone or if the tags don't work, I am incredibly tired. To Logan Hair from LDH Contracting for our delivery run up to Karen Andrich in Gidgegannup today. Logan took 30 rolls donated by Murray Piggot, Jamie Fry and the Brunswick Lions Club. Thanks also to Mark Talbot for the use of tractor and yard to load him. Once again thanks to Tim Bowman and Ben Lupton from T&M Heavy Mechanical and Road Haulage, Tom Rose from Ros...emya and hubby Joe Hall for transporting the first of the large donation from Williams. Stay tuned for a more detailed post on this one in the morning. And to Steven Rose, Carol, Clayton Minson and Tom again for unloading us and helping roll up straps at the other end. To Tom and Margy again thanks for the use of the Rosemya hardstand and storing the hay in your shed You are all incredibly generous humans and it's an honour to work with u on this. More news tomorrow morning on things, once I have more than 5 hours sleep

08.01.2022 Many many thanks to a few people I have forgotten. For hay donations, Neville Haddon who contributed 5 bales on the load that went up to the North Gidgie on Monday, to Karen White who donated 100 small squares that went to Bullsbrook on Saturday and Whale Green who donated 30 odd rounds. Thanks to Tom, Margy and Steven Rose, your willingness to help never ceases to amaze me. From the use of your hardstand, tractors, truck and trailers, time and now sending a tractor up to a...ssist Karen Andrich and team at Gidgie to move the large squares, everything you do guys, is incredible. Massive shout out to Brad Larsen for also driving our second roadtrain out to Williams yesterday to collect the balance of the big bundle and for helping out at such short notice To the team today which consisted of Tom (once again) and Joe Hall thank you for our delivery to North Gidgie once more. We took 117 of the export squares donated by Argonaut to Karen's property. I know this is greatly appreciated and will keep the stock happy for a little while. This will take some pressure off for a little bit. We are 100% committed to transporting the balance of hay to the grounds and will continue to do so while it is needed. Thanks for another great couple of days.

07.01.2022 ARGONAUT DONATION For a few days now you would have read my mentions of the large donation of 250 tonne of Hay. Our committee decided that given the nature of this donation to the Emergency Feed Relief at the fire zone through EASE WA and the transport taken care of by us, it is well worth a mention on its own. The donation is by far the largest received to date from a single source, that being from leading Perth broking and advisory house Argonaut. ... Dusty at EASE WA asked me to take over the logistics of this very generous donation on Thursday and I was only too happy to help knowing the overwhelming size and challenge this presented. I then had a conversation with Argonaut executive chairman Eddie Rigg and he advised me of the incredible $50,000 purchase of approximately 250 tonne of export quality Oaten hay in the form of high density square bales. I was then put in touch with Bernie and Rachel Panizza of Aprelia Farms where the hay was purchased and we arranged suitable times for collection. We sent 4 roadtrains over yesterday to collect the first of the 380 odd bales and 2 this morning to collect the rest. Bernie and Rachel also contributed by donating some of the hay themselves. The donation is equivalent to approximately 700 standard size round bales or 17,800 small squares and will assist farmers and properties in the coming weeks whilst in the process of rebuilding. The hay is being stored under cover at the HHR hardstand at Rosemya in Brunswick and will be taken up to the fires zone as required. In addition to the much-needed hay, Argonaut has created a day-long initiative, Brokerage for Bushfire Relief, to raise much-needed funds for the Lord Mayor’s Distress Relief Fund (LMDRF). I would personally like to say thank you to Eddie and your team at Argonaut for this phenomal gesture to the Fire Relief and to Bernie at Aprelia Farms for waiting with a Telehandler ready to load our trucks. It is an incredible honour to work with you on this.

04.01.2022 Yesterday's run consisted of 34 rolls and 156 small squares. Today's run was 70 Rolls and 420 small squares. I have to show our appreciate to the inspiring women at EASE WA, DPIRD and Representing DFES Dusty Murray-Whelan Karen Andrich, Dayle Parker Tully Forknall and Susan Hilbert for the work u are doing to getting this hay to where it is needed most. It is my honour to be working alongside such incredible people to get this done ... To Grant, Tom, Tim, Ben, Joe and today's donations which I mentioned in an earlier post. I am once again grateful for your contributions in your time driving tractors and of course the trucks to drive these loads up as they are required. Tomorrow we will be heading out east to Williams to pick up an incredibly generous single donation of 250 tonne of feed on 5 roadtrains whilst still sending trucks to Gidgegannup to continue the supply run. We aren't finished yet. There is other donated hay and we will continue the supply runs to the Fire Relief until we are done. Amazing West Australian community generosity from a lot of fronts today and we are pleased to be doing our small part
