25.01.2022 Well that’s our hay season done and dusted for 2020. What a mammoth effort it has been this year with hay production. I would like to thank Sam & Poppa for your dedication in helping with baling and cart the hay in by trucks, Brad Case for the loan of your tractor, Brian Tucker for lending your baler so we had 2 on the go to get the job done quicker, Cameron for driving a truck, Graham for coming at the drop of a hat to get the bale baron packs done, and last but not lest Greg for all your hard work in monitoring and coordinating the crew. To our valued hay clients we will be in touch soon.

25.01.2022 For some reason my post didn't get published from the 21st December on our Harvey Hay Sales FB page. Sorry to repeat this post for those that saw on my personal FB but just want to keep you all up to date with Hay run to Orroroo. We made it safe n sound. Bloody hot, dry and Barron with plenty of flys Was great to finally meet Michael Amour and family, John & Rita, who have been working alongside us to make this happen.... Its pretty bare as youll see in photos. Was lovely chatting to a couple of farmers who picked up a load of hay and ever so grateful that people down south are thinking of those up north. Theses guys are really doing it tough even after destocking or heavily reducing numbers. Big thanks to everyone that helped, whether it be $$, donated hay, front end loaders to load and unload, truck and trailer (Geue Transport) or just your time. Theses guys really appreciate it

25.01.2022 'They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will... remember them.' 101 years ago the guns of the Western Front finally fell silent after more than four years of continuous and deadly warfare. Today we remember the loss of Australian lives from all wars and conflicts. Thank you for your service. 'Lest We Forget'

20.01.2022 Well its that time of year we blow of the dust and pull the combine out of the shed to start seeding program. After receiving our traditional opening season rains around Anzac Day weekend, of 41mm of rain, the soil is working up beautifully. Fingers crossed for a cracker season ahead to break this drought cycLe

19.01.2022 What a beautiful sight to wake up to this morning seeing 12 mm in the rain gauge and its still raining. Hopefully KI and other places in our state are getting theses rains to dampen the fire grounds, then hopefully it continues interstate to put there fires out as well. I know my garden is going to love this

17.01.2022 Crop is coming along beautiful at this stage. Hopefully we continue to receive top up rains during the growth period.

17.01.2022 #standingatdawn #anzacday2020 Lest We Forget Such a beautiful calm and mild morning with Kookaburras singing in the background as we pay our respects to the Anzacs. The sunrise was spectacular, and being able to pay my respects while sitting on my horse in the driveway, will be a memorable occasion as we look back to 2020.... Lest We Forget

15.01.2022 We are so fortunate to have such amazing growth in our crops this season. Still another 4-6 weeks away till cutting, and further growth yet to come. Its going to bring bumper yields, if all goes to plan

15.01.2022 Well we have set off this morning with hay run to Orroroo. Thanks to all those that have helped with hay donations, $$$ and time. Will keep you posted along the way

14.01.2022 Well its that time of year we like to share some Christmas cheers We are organising a hay run to Orrorro SA this weekend with a load of 48 donated round bales to help those in need in our home state. We have been working with a gentleman Michael Amour whos adult kids wanted to donated money from what they would have had spent on them for Xmas to transport hay to farmers up north. In combined effort we have raised $1100 but were still short $400.... We really need your help raising the last $400. Please PM me if you can help, as this hay is going to a widow whos been running the farm on her own since her husbands passing, and even Christine is wanting to share this load with her neighbours, as they are all in the same boat. I will post pictures over this coming weekend of our delivery, as we are traveling up to meet this farmers first hand. Thanks in advance for your support

13.01.2022 Australia lets focus on the good.. Im laying in my bed in London. Its midnight. Im scrolling thru my Facebook. I havent stopped thinking about the fi...res since I landed on our family holiday here in Europe to the news our farm was burning down. Most of its been destroyed. But compared to others we are lucky ... Each night the news here in Europe is lead by the fires in Australia.. When little old Australia is leading the world news you know shits hitting the fan at home. Since we landed here the fires have got worse.. like nothing we have ever seen.. but as much as Ive seen the country unite Ive seen the country divide... especially here on social media. I see people fighting all over social media. People enraged ... People venting angrily.. Australians slagging off other Aussies.. The negativity online is everywhere. Possibly worse than ever before. Fighting about climate change Fighting about back burning Fighting about politicians Fighting about greens Fighting about foreign aid Fighting about a tennis player making donations Fighting about servos selling water for too much The list goes on and on ..... I understand the hurt and frustration. I understand the differing of opinions. BUT... This is not the time to fight ... People are just searching for something to be enraged about. And its not healthy for our country right now. I think a lot of the online negativity comes from people feeling so mad and helpless that they need to vent frustration. I understand that. BUUUT ... Forget the FIGHT... just UNITE Look for the good during this dark dark time and celebrate it. Theres plenty of it. In fact theres more good things to post about than theres ever been. So post them. The fire fighters ... The miracles... The people helping strangers ... The random acts of kindness.. The offers of help ... The kids raising money ... The not giving in .. The list of positivity is endless.... Fighting online now will achieve nothing. But using online in a positive manner will help our country heal. Australia is a country with a heart of gold. Its our ability to unite as one which makes us the envy of the world. So lets not change that now. So pull back on the negative crap online. Dont post it. Not now. It doesnt help anyone. Anything negative doesnt put out a fire it just creates another one. Australias going thru enough shit right now so find something outta these fires that has made you smile or be proud. Post about that. We live in the best country in the world. Never forget that. We are Australians. So lets stand shoulder to shoulder. Lets unite as one and for now till we get this shit sorted leave the fighting to the fire fighters .... SHARE THIS AROUND and lets come together as one and stop the stupid fighting. I cannot wait to be back in Australia to help this great country recover from the fires. xx

10.01.2022 Looks as though most parts of Australia are in for another tough year ahead, with parts of our country not only interstate but also here in SA have missed out on the beautiful rain we have been fortunate to receive. Some countrysides look all too familiar not far from here to the NSW picture below.

10.01.2022 We feel ungrateful in saying this, but lets hope the rain can hold off long enough this hay season so we can get good quality hay in the sheds to continue supplying our clients.

05.01.2022 On this day 102 years ago these troopers had no idea that the fight they were approaching would go down as one of our finest hours. They were soon to take part ...in the Charge at Beersheba. Their feat of courage, daring and determination etched the name of the Australian Light Horsemen and their gallant remounts into military history forever. Today and always we remember them.
