23.01.2022 Just checking in with all of our beautiful playgroup families How are you feeling with lockdown? Mixed feelings from our house~ One kindy boy who is sad but happy to protect his friend from getting sick by wearing a mask and staying home, one high school bound boy who is happy for a week of Nintendo and chill and an Emmy who has no idea. My husband is an essential worker but l have been asked to stay home so its business as usual for this mum. Endless snacks,potty training the 3 year old,washing etc etc.

22.01.2022 We will be going ahead with playgroup this week at the RSL Hall, usual time and day Thursday 9~11. We will be setting up outside so rug up if its not warm. 18.01.2022 Good news for anyone thinking of joining playgroup!! Playgroup WA is offering a discount membership fee for the rest of the year $15 or $7.50 for concession holders!!! How good is that! We can normally never discount this as it covers insurance! Any questions please PM the page or come along next week and try two sessions for free

17.01.2022 Hip Hip Hooray!!! Playgroup will be resuming on 23rd July and we welcome everyone to join us!! As a precaution we will have some new guidelines to follow and will be restricting some of our activities to comply with covid guidelines. We will need every one to sign in as normal and sanitize your hands as you enter the building. We ask you bring your own water bottle and fruit for your child as we won't be doing shared fruit. If possible please bring a keep cup ( we will stil...l provide coffee,tea etc ) or we are asking every one to wash their own cup. We will be limiting what toys we have out each week to those easily cleaned. We will have soapy water to clean all toys after use and ask if your child puts something in their mouth,you pop it in the dirty bucket. Finally we ask you to help us by signing up to the cleaning roster. This is not a forever thing-just to keep up hygiene standards. Please do not come to playgroup if unwell-l do not want to have to be the bad guy and ask you to leave Hopefully we have lots of sunshine so we can be outside and we have lots of fun craft planned! 13.01.2022 Guess what tomorrow is? It's playgroup day!!! I have missed seeing everyone over the last few weeks while working and caring for sick children. I want to thank our awesome committee for doing such a good job of running everything-l think l may retire!!! Tomorrow we are going to get crafty for all the dads,granddads,mummas who do both or carers. We want to say "l love you" and thank you. Amy is whipping up her amazing playdough as its sooo popular with the kids and smells ...divine and if the sun shines on us we can play outdoors. One of our newest friends is turning one on the weekend and we love celebrating bdays so bring your singing voices along!!!! Finally a quick word on fees-if you havent paid for 2020 PLEASE DONT STRESS. We have enrolment packs by the sign in book. Playgroup wa has dropped insurance to $15 or $7.50 for the rest of the year. Our playgroup fees are casually $3 a session per family but if you would prefer to pay per term or for the rest of the year please see me as we can work it out. Its a crazy year and as lve said before fees are NEVER a reason to not come to playgroup. See you tomorrow B x

13.01.2022 Ssssshhhhhh...something special is happening at playgroup this week and we need your help. This week we are going on a BEAR HUNT!!! We need you to bring along your special Teddy or another soft friend and a special picnic morning tea ( as we know all Teddy bears LOVE a picnic ). We will make Teddy bears out of play dough and paint our own pictures. This is our last playgroup this term and it looks like the sun is shining brightly tomorrow so l hope to see all your smiling faces tomorrow x

10.01.2022 Hi everyone for those who dont know me Im Karla Mazza and I just recently became VP at playgroup - right hand man to the amazing Brooke Bovey. I started playgroup when I had my first, Leo,who is now 2.5. Theres so much I could say about the educational games we play, the craft, the fun but really for me it was the love. Being a young first time mum I have learnt so much and felt so much support from all different mums. Its not just one type of mum that are welcome at playgroup but very single different type and thats what makes it special Thankyou for reading look forward to seeing you on Thursdays

Ive bought new coffee for cuppas and some hot chocolate xx I'm so sorry for not getting the fathers day craft to you by Sunday. I didnt forget but unfortunately life and illness has gotten in the way this week and its been a tough one. I won't be there tomorrow because it's my big boys last assembly of primary school a...nd my littlest love is struggling with his lungs. 09.01.2022 The sun was shining on playgroup today We were so lucky to have beautiful weather and lots of smiling faces-both from the children and parents. Everyone worked together to make it a gorgeous morning. A special THANK YOU to Trent from Harvey Police for rescuing our outside toys from the shed!!... Next week we have a very special visitor at 10.45 that l know alot of children have missed!

09.01.2022 Introducing our committee Hola insta friends, My name is Brooke and l am the president of Harvey Playgroup. Playgroup has been apart of my life since 2016 when l had my third son. I started attending when l was in a very dark place mentally. My husband was working 16 hours a day managing a dairy herd and l was feeling so isolated. My family was all in Perth and l didnt have alot of support. I was encouraged to come along even tho V was a few months old by my GF and our pas...t president @lowtoxmumma. I couldn't count the amount of times l was late, on the verge of tears and just in general a mess but each time l was met with a hot cuppa and a warm hug. Fast forward another baby boy in 2018 and l then took over as president in 2019. It is a role that at times has been a challenge ( lm looking at you RONA) but one that l love. Playgroup for me has always been about helping others to find the kind of connections that saved me in 2016. I want all our members to feel like it is a safe space to be themselves and for children to just play and have fun. That's what makes it worthwhile for me. My dream for Harvey Playgroup is for it to be a true representation of the diversity we have in our community. When not at playgroup you will find me working with at risk youth as an EA and Youth worker, drinking wayyyyyy too much coffee and reciting one liners from Rupauls drag race #BAM Come along to a session on Thursdays 9~11 and discover what we are all about xx https://www.instagram.com/p/CDoeAyXhWi4/

08.01.2022 We were so blessed to have had the AMAZING Ruth from the library come and visit us on Thursday to read to the children. We loved it so much that Ruth is going to come back next week at 10.45 to read to us again. Please join us under our beautiful trees

We have beautiful families who are going to St Anne's and Harvey Primary next year-many of which have older siblings already at the school. Harvey Playgroup would love to help make the transition easier by offering a safe space to connect with others. Our first few sessions are free and would love for you to join us!!

04.01.2022 Karla and l have been keeping a secret!! Harvey Playgroup was lucky enough to be awarded a $500 Community Donation from the amazing Louise at the Commonwealth Bank Harvey Branch. I was contacted by Louise who had been following our social media and was impressed by our commitment to turning Playgroup into a safe space and improving the mental health of mothers in our community. It was amazing to be recognised in what was a disjointed year at Harvey Playgroup. We have not been... able to undertake any fund-raising projects this year nor charge our usual fees. We are so thankful to Louise and CBA and will be putting the money back into the playgroup. It was a beautiful way to end 2020. Wishing all our members a very special Xmas. Brooke xx

04.01.2022 What a beautiful celebration to send off a stressful year!!! We had all these plans but it all went out of the window and the children made their own fun!!! Very special thank you to Amy for organising Santa and his special firetruck,Sheldon and Scott for showing us all the ins and outs of the firetruck,Jono for being the coolest Santa on the block,Stacey for the gorgeous certificates and Jess for wrapping all the presents. I hope all the children had a blast and from myself, Karla and all the committee we wish you a Merry Christmas xxxxxx

01.01.2022 "Your sisters a 6,but your a perfect 10" Oh Offspring how l miss you. I watched so much Offspring when l was pregnant with V that l swore he used to calm down when he heard the credits. It is also my go to TV show when l feel stressed and like things are getting too much. What are your go to TV show when you need to tune out? Or perhaps a podcast? If l get the chance to watch TV these days l usually forget to change it off Bluey ( could be worse tho-Bluey is the bomb Diggety ). Share it below-it also makes a fab convo starter
