18.01.2022 Oh buoy! A Tasmanian yachtsman was rescued by the police Air Wing after he crashed into rocks in waters off Portsea last night. An Air Wing crewman was lowered... into the water where he directed the skipper to jump into the ocean and he was winched to safety. Well done Air Wing! https://go.vic.gov.au/PfvabP
12.01.2022 Our Hastings vessel (TX1) went back into the water yesterday, after a period of 5 weeks on the stand. All new navigation gear, radar, and the latest Class "A" A...IS system fitted. A good scrub, polish and anti foul coat. Whilst this was going on, we covered Westernport and beyond with Mornington's second vessel AK2. A big thanks to Ted and the Team who assisted him, fitting and re-wiring, as Ted says, "a labor of love" TX1 has scrubbed up pretty well for a 10 year old boat, that does a power of work assisting vessels in distress. Well done Team.
06.01.2022 FOR SALE - All three sold 31/5/2020 The Latrobe Valley Yacht Club has three International Optimist dinghies for sale. These boats were purchased as ex-charter b...oats after an Australian Optimist championship event (2011?). They were purchased to form a club junior fleet but lack of junior sailors has meant that they have barely been sailed and are in near new condition. Boats are complete with covers and trolleys. $1800 each or will consider negotiating on a price for all three. Contact: Andrew 0418188299
